Trilogy Conclusion
This was the third book in Melanie Dickerson's Regency Spies trilogy. (At least...I think it's a trilogy. I haven't heard anything about another coming out.) As usual, Mrs. Dickerson has written an amazing story! I loved Felicity and it was wonderful to get to see more of her, to get in her head. I liked that she wasn't all amazing at everything with stellar skills and endless courage. She was terrified! But she chose to do what was right. Her heart led her and she was human. She had faults and battles to wage with herself. I also really enjoyed McDowell. He made me smile a lot. They were a sweet pair. I've always grown attached to Dickerson's characters and this story was no exception. The seashell grotto was a nifty thing to weave into the setting. The regency era is one of my favorites, though not my very very favorite, and Dickerson does it justice in my opinion. The plot was riveting, especially toward the end. I was HOOOOKED. I kinda flipped my lid a little at the end cause I was so into it. :D I wasn't sure how it was going to end!Dickerson always does a superb job with any violence, keeping it appropriate. There is no foul language, and she keeps her romances sweet and clean. Although, there was quite a bit of kissing in this one as compared to some of her others ;-) I rather liked the whole idea that Felicity was forced to playact with Ratley. All in all, not my favorite Dickerson book (those would be Hagenheim!!!), but certainly an excellent read!

Cute
This story was very cute but somewhat lacking for me. This is hard to write because I like this author and it’s so refreshing to read a nice clean story. In this book the next to the youngest daughter out of 12 or 13 children was having a hard time finding a worthy suitor. She would have no dowry so most went right past her or were down right rude. Her Aunt by marriage invited her to stay at her estate and that’s where the story takes a turn. I liked the concept very much and I feel this book could have been amazing but it felt so immature. The heroine was strong but extremely naive which was difficult to read. The hero was handsome and strong but only slightly less naive. After they both escaped the Aunt’s house it’s like the story just wrapped up and ended. No more conflict everything just neat and tidy. I didn’t care for that too much. Overall a very strong story line and great plot with real potential.

Another delightful read from Melanie Dickerson
A Dangerous EngagementThe Regency Spies of London #3By Melanie DickersonFelicity Mayson has been publicly spurned yet again - again her lack of a sizeable dowry is held against her. And Felicity has had enough of upper societies prejudices and has determined to avoid balls altogether unless given by her friends the Langdons or the Withinghalls. When an invitation from Lady Blackstone arrives, Felicity soon finds herself at her aunt's country estate Doverton Hall. But the house party to which Felicity finds herself a part of is most peculiar, with few ladies in attendance. But when Lady Blackstone's favorite guest begins paying particular attention to Felicity she all too soon finds her head being turned by his flattery.Oliver Ratley's attentions soon lead to an engagement with little thought on Felicity's part. But her engagement soon has her caught up in something altogether unexpected - treason against the throne. What should have been an occasion of happiness soon becomes one of dread. Only one person seems to sympathize with Felicity's predicament at this "party" Philip Merrick. But Philip has his own secrets that he is hiding - a secret that could cost him his life or save the monarchy. And Philip needs Felicity to help him if he is to discover the truth, bring the traitors to justice, and clear Felicity of any doubts about her loyalties. As time passes the threat of discovery increases and Felicity and Philip risk exposure. Can they find the evidence that they need before it is too late? Or will they pay for their loyalty with their lives? This is the third book in Melanie Dickerson's Regency Spies of London series and it as fun an escape into a book as the first two books. If you have yet to read A Spy's Devotion or The Viscount's Proposal don't fret as one can easily get into this story without the backstory of these books. And one can always go back a read them at a later date. Yes, the characters from one book cross over to the other two and they are in a chronological order but each can stand on its own. Sit back and enjoy another delightful period mystery from a fabulous writer.

Very enjoyable clean historical romance you will love.
Loved, loved, loved this final book in the series, The Regency Spies of London by Melanie Dickerson!! Seeing Felicity Mayson from the first two books get her HEA was the best. You will find that Felicity does in deed become involved in a dangerous engagement of her own. What follows is a lot of intrigue, lies, deception and a far amount of spying on both the h, as well as the H/Philip McDowell. I found this book to be my most favorite of the three books.I felt sorry for the plight of Felicity, being that she had no fortune to provide a dowry for a husband. She was snubbed by the "men" of society, and I use that term loosely. Felicity and Philip show that money is not everything in a relationship. If you like clean, historical romance with intrigue, danger, and romance, this book is for you. Enjoy!

Enjoyable historical thriller
Ok, so thriller might have been a little bit of an exaggeration, as this story is not as good as the rest of Melanie Dickerson's. Still it's an enjoyable read.
