Great Pet Vacuum
This is my 2nd Pet Elite. The first one i bought I totally wore it out. I have 2 Huskies and they are shed monsters . I have laminate flooring throughout my 2300 sq ft home, I vacuum everyday at least twice a day . So this bad boy gets used . Only time it takes a day off is when i go on vacation . When i get back after 5 days there's a lot of hair . When I vacuum at night is usually the best time to vacuum. I shut all the lights off so the house is completely dark. The L E D's really bring the hair show the dog hair. We have light brown floor so you can't really see the hair. I put the power on medium and this will last to vacuum my whole house . I did buy extra batteries just in case. Especially when i vacuum the 2nd time. The best vacuum for pet hair . I use a wheelchair so it's also easy for me to use . The photo i uploaded shows with the lights on in my house and then when i shut them off. You can see the dog hair with the vacuum lights . I realized the battery i got with this new one is only a 4AH . It doesn't last that long. My first vacuum i got directly from Hoover and I got the 8AH. That size lasts a lot longer . I ordered a 2nd one also. I am now on vacuum number 3. Number 2 lasted me over 2 years. The tube that sucks up into the canister ripped and I repaired with duct tape , then the lights started going out . I need the lights to see the dog hair better . Ceiling lights don't help, you need LED's that are low to the ground that will light up the floor from ground level. I go through these very fast cause I use daily and I'm pretty hard on them , crashing into furniture, etc . A lot of times hair is entangled on the feet of furniture so I try to pull it free. I still love this vacuum and will get another one in a couple years if it goes out . I wish they sold replacement parts for it . My 2nd one would have lasted longer .

I GOT A LEMON
First of all, I have owned 2 Hoover Linx vacs. I bought one in '15 and one in '16. Understandably, one of them died but I do still have the one. Eight years is spectacular for a battery powered vac. I searched and searched for the Linx which is no longer available. I imagine this is the upgraded version of the Linx. When I took it out of the box, the instructions said to push the handle into the vac opening and push down till it clicks. I pushed as hard as I could but never did hear a clicking sound but I thought as hard as I pushed, it should be ok. I also charged the battery. When I tried to turn the vac on, it would not come on, despite trying several things. I googled for trouble shooting but never really found anything. Customer service is only available M-F, 9-3, despite saying 9-6 on the instruction sheet. Also, the instructions said there are "no serviceable parts" to this vac. Hmmmmm. After all that, I thought, this thing is going back. We had to figure out how to get the handle back out of the vac. To do that, there is a small hole in which you place a small screwdriver. Pushing into that hole releases the handle. Once we did this, it must have "seated" the handle so it worked! I was very happy about that UNTIL I went to turn it off. It would not turn off despite pressing the on/off button numerous times. I had to remove the battery to shut it off. By this time, I am totally burned out from fooling with it and have decided to send it back. I'll look for something else. The Hoover Linx is the best stick vac ever made, imo. It worked like a charm and the filtration system was very easy to disassemble. After every few uses, I'd take very everything apart and wash it. I see many people happy with this model, but it did not work for me.

Does One Thing and Does it Well
My first cordless vacuum was a Hoover Linx. It was a nifty little vacuum that was easy to grab to do a quick cleanup. I could give the whole condo a quick touchup without emptying the dust cup. I especially liked the removable battery that could be charged discretely. No need to have the vacuum standing out in the open next to an outlet to charge. I also have a full size Dyson, but sometimes you just don't need the big guns. Plus I have a lady that comes to clean every other week. After six years of service, the bottom floor piece broke off the upright. Apparently, that was the Linx's weakness. I was ready to order another one, but it was discontinued. I ended up with one of those multifunction Dyson lookalikes, because it had a removable battery. Among its multifunctions, it did nothing well. It wouldn't touch my German Shepherd's hair. I have a nice hand vac, so I didn't need that. When I vacuumed, all the extra tools kept falling off the handle, until I ended up throwing them out. I couldn't even finish one room without having to stop and empty the tiny dust cup. The center of gravity, motor and battery, was up at the handle making it awkward and when you're old, a bit tiring to handle. I finally had enough, and sent it to that great broom closet in the sky. This time, I ordered the Hoover Evolve Pet Elite and I've been very happy with it. It has everything I like, removable battery for charging, large dust cup, low center of gravity so the floor carries most of the weight, nimble and easy to grab for touchups. It's like my good old Linx only better and more powerful. This one even gets the dog hair off the Persians. And I have learned a lesson. Having a tool that does one thing well can be better than one that does several things poorly.

Great but missing features
I've had several Hoover vacuums over the past 50 yrs & have been happy with all. I have the corded Hoover Pet vacuum and this is kind of like a smaller, cordless version. Kind of because it is strictly a floor vacuum: no hand held, no on-board tools, no on/off for the brush roller :-(. But it does a very good job at what it does and has good headlights, feels sturdy in your hands while not being as heavy as my corded version. The 3-speed options are also good - I use the lower speed on my rugs. We have a very fine, med-haired cat that likes to go outside and sheds like crazy in our Tx heat. This vacuum does a great job catching the little hairs, hairballs. I really like the dirt-cup size and easy dump. The battery lasts long enough to vacuum an area of approx 1500 SF at least twice. I do prefer to use my corded vacuum on carpet areas. Oh, and one of the main reasons I prefer this style of cordless vacuum is that it STANDS UP ON IT'S OWN!! I bought this for quick kitchen crumb & cat hair pick-ups to replace an Orfeld stick vacuum. The Orfeld did a good job of vacuuming, but the machine felt too light-weight - almost like a toy and the swivel didn't operate smoothly.

So many Pros
I have so many Pros for this vacuum. It's lightweight. I have issues with my hands and this vacuum doesn't bother me. The weight is distributed toward the middle, so my hands are not doing so much work to swivel, sweep and push. It swivels on a dime to get in corners. I can keep an eye on the battery level in two places! I plan to buy a second battery to always have a charged battery on hand. If you have a larger home, you may want a second battery. This vacuum is quieter than most. It doesn't take up a lot of room so you can set it in an out of the way corner or a closet. Cons: Only one and it's really minor. The buttons for speed could be where the battery power indicator button is. I always manage to hit the speed button while vacuuming and have to put it back to where I want it. Like I said.....a minor inconvenience. I only have bedrooms with carpet and the rest of my house is tile. This is the perfect vacuum of me. I highly recommend this vacuum. Update Sept 23, 2024 I am still in love with this vacuum. I did forget to mention how easy it is to empty the canister...so easy. However, there is one thing I need to mention regarding the battery. It doesn't have as long a life as I would like. I have 2 area rugs and 3 carpeted bedrooms. Depending on power level you have the vacuum on you may not be able to get everything you wanted vacuumed.....I can only get the 3 bedrooms done on a freshly charged battery. For that reason, I have ordered a 2nd battery. For me, this is a minor thing. I can always use a second charged battery.

Hello China. Goodbye Trustable American Brand.
Opened it, gave it a short test which is all it took to pack it up and send it back. As always, Amazon is standing behind its sale in stellar fashion and I continue to appreciate that 100% but I can't recommend Hoover anything anymore, and particularly this "New and Improved" (NOT) cordless vacuum model. I had 2 of its predecessor Linx models which I loved but they didn't last. This new model is inferior in every way. Here are its problems right out of the box: First, its design. As numerous other reviews point out, the on-off controls are right where your grasp of the handle has to be so that even being aware of it, you still can't help but turn it off unintentionally and repeatedly. Second, this model is less maneuverable than its predecessor Linx and also heavier so that it is cumbersome. Thirdly, its head design is such that it cannot pick up dust or debris (like crumbs) within 1-2 inches of a baseboard or threshold between rooms, whether butting the head up to the baseboard frontwise OR running the head along the baseboard sideways. So in effect, after vacuuming a room, you would have to follow up on all the edges of the room (or anything else you are vacuuming around such as table legs or threshold) with a broom or handheld dustbuster. This is NOT an improved model. Next, at least the one I received, not only did NOT have 50% more suction power than it's predecessor, but not as much. Or maybe I should say "effective" suction power. Again, that could be a matter of the head design. Aside from that, in rereading reviews, I lost confidence that this machine would be at all reliable. Too many of those reviews report that the machine dies within a couple of months. And that leads me to Hoover Customer Service anymore. I have tried to reach them on their Customer Support phone line numerous times, weekdays, various times of the day, and same as others have reported, I always get their same recording that states customer service hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST daily. But then it goes on to state, "We are currently closed." And it's that way every time you call, no matter when. That same rereading of reviews (search term "chat") reveals that their chat feature is also completely useless because it offers only canned multiple choice answers to whatever problem you identify. That indicates pre-recorded artificial intelligence bots, no humans there either. Now a number of those reviews seem to have somehow contacted someone (or it may be another prerecorded bot), but apparently if you have a defective part, even if it arrived Dead on Arrival out of the box, you must pay the shipping to send it back and get a replacement part that works. This seems to be often either the battery or its charger, because more than one review reported that the wrong charger for the battery was packed in the box. And all of this while their website cheerfully touts it's outstanding customer service? Where??? Very sad to see a formerly trustable American standby company ring its own death knells this way, but all the signs are there. And that's after persisting to invest benefit of doubt because I loved their last model, as long as it lasted each time anyway. I had actually built into this purchase the possible expectation of it only a couple of years at the most, but between the inept redesign of this model on three counts and the infuriating customer service realities, there comes a limit. So my recommendation is "buy at your own risk" which appears to be quite high or that the particular machine I got was missing side brushes on the head and that there was something wrong with its motor's suction power. That would just leave its handle design and non-existent customer service to bet on. If you look at my other reviews, you will see that they are detailed as to features not obvious from the listing descriptions but meaningful to other prospective buyers and for the most part quite positive. I have no axe to grind against Hoover other than what they have earned from a long time customer who's given every benefit of the doubt only to become very disappointed in them.

Only lasted a year
Cons: Hose broke after exactly one year. Battery doesn’t last long enough to do all the vacuuming I need done. Hose comes undone and detaches with the push of a button, but it happens accidentally all the time, and you don’t realize it’s unattached until you’ve vacuumed for a while and wasted half your battery. Pros: I like the detachable battery concept so I don’t have to have a big ugly vacuum mounted to my wall to charge. I really love the light that lets you see all the hairs. The removable tank makes it easy to dump dog hair. I was bummed that the hose broke after only a year. It literally just ripped off. I think the fact that it always came detached and that I had to keep putting it back in may have strained it. However, I did like the vacuum enough that I will buy it again. The fact that I will have two batteries now will solve one of the major cons of this vacuum. Otherwise I don’t think I would but it again knowing the battery life is so short and the hose breaks so easily.

made for ACTUAL pet owners
This is the only vacuum I've seen advertised for pet owners that ACTUALLY knows what a pet owner needs. I have two cats, two quails, five parakeets, and a few pet mice and this works leagues better than my huge, heavy duty corded vacuum that got clogged up in unreachable parts that I can't even get to by disassembling the entire thing. Theres a release for the hose right at the base of the vacuum to help get the initial curve that is every pet owners nightmare so it unclogs easily, and it's pretty darn difficult to clog in the first place. It also has instructions that are actually understandable and detailed, including some as stickers on the vacuum itself, which is pretty rare for most products. Admittedly my pet room with my birds and mice gets very, very messy and large pieces of litter gets everywhere, plus bird droppings, pet food, and bird dust (bird owners know what I mean). My large vacuum has been busted for a while so it got out of hand very fast even with my using a tiny broom, and I finally decided to splurge on this and give it a try, but I was so tired of sweeping carpet that I just risked it to vacuum even the large things. It picked up everything, and I mean everything, from hay to dust to the large bedding pieces. It clogged once, only because it sucked up a cloth I had on the floor by mistake, but it was so easy to fix. It holds a lot for how compact this vacuum is, it's exceptionally quiet, and the light on it is nice and bright if you actually need it. The charge seems to last a while so far, but my battery does show a different amount on it than on the little display when it's on (photos were taken at the same time for reference). But with that being the only little kink, I can't say I'm upset. Overall 10/10, genuinely if you're questioning it you should get it.

Hoover onepw Wr evolve pet cordless vacuum
Bought this in July and it stopped working within two weeks. They did replace it. The replacement model also stopped within a month. They’re now on the third one and it has stopped working. Do not buy this product. This is terrible. Yes they keep replacing them but they’re no darn good. If every time you go to use it, it just won’t work the roller stops working instantly very poor product. Very poor disgust it

Don't buy this
Crapped out after like 4 months of use. I have an aussie shepherd and the brush would stop spinning after like 20 minutes. I'd have to clean it about 3 times in an hour of use. I have a (cheap) robot vacuum that runs twice a day and can handle pet fur better than this waste of money

Good lightweight vacuum
Love love love, light enough to carry up and down in my house. The LED light is amazing and makes me want to vacuum all day lol. Good battery life. Only problem is that dont have good longevity, this is my 3rd vacuum in this model in about 6 years but I keep buying it because I like it so much.
