Surprised....
Wasn't sure what to expect with this mower, but I needed something that I could use around shrubs, borders, and building/s other than a weed eater which is trim no. 2. I got the 16" which goes between the shrubs easily. The cut is easily adjustable from low to high ( a plus ). Follow the wire coming out of the main body of the machine, up the handle and into a little black box and there's a yellow button. Push it in, hold and depress the yellow safety bar - release the button while still depressing the safety bar. There's a slight pause and the blade starts to turn. Works like most every other mower that has a safety bar. This mower also has an automatic 2nd gear for heavy grass, a surprise, and the cut is smooth. I let the grass get too heavy in several places but this little dude tackled it with ease - Again, surprise! Total cut time for my first use - approx... 30-40 mins, and still had battery life. I charged the batteries right out of the box for about a long as it took me to read the instructions and assemble the handle, which is the ONLY real assembly needed. The battery box is easy to access on the top of the body - Caution: There is a Key attached to a string in the battery box that needs to be plugged in (kind of like a table saw safety key) which allows the machine to turn-on. It's zero trouble to assemble if you have any experience with putting things together. It's logical the way it's built. It has a mulch-plug in the rear discharge (where the grass exits) which needs to be removed (just wiggle and lift up & out) before adding the grass catcher (easily attached and removed and already assembled). Easy to dump the grass out because it's fairly small ( a plus, in my opinion because it doesn't get heavy ). This is not a half-acre+ use machine ( again, my opinion ), but it's terrific for a small area or trim use before/after the yard tractor does the heavy lifting. This are my initial thoughts concerning this product because I've only used it once. I recharged the batteries after I completed doing the trimming - probably a 200' X 5' run ... which has a ditch bank, lots of shrubs with borders but not too bumpy. I didn't stop because the battery went down, I stopped because it was almost dark and the skeeters were biting. There's about another 250' X 5' to go. I started with the blade in the second highest position and lowered as I got more used to the machine. Easy to push forward or pull backwards ( cuts either way ). Gotta say - I was Surprised at how easy this machine is to use. It seems that with ordinary care it should last a while. Suits my purpose just fine. I'll update this rating if things go South. The price was under $200 and I've got a weed eater that cost more and is not as easy to use. BTW - I'm closer to 80 than 70. Happy cutting!

Definitely works! Light weight and easy to use!
I was skeptical about buying the lawnmower, because the price was cheap but honestly, I needed a lawnmower, super quick and it could be here the next day and I figured if it sucked, I could just return it. My heavy gas lawnmower broke and I had a jungle to mow. It was very easy to put together. It does take a while for the battery to charge. It went through my very high grass easily. I did have to stop and charge the battery halfway through but considering how tall the grass was that wasn’t a problem. I mow the lawn weekly and I haven’t had any problems with the lawnmower. You can easily push it with one hand. I have a steep hill that is bumpy in my backyard and it is so easy to use this lightweight lawnmower on it! My old gas one mower was so heavy. I would have to take a couple of breaks mowing before I could do the whole hill… now I can run right through it because the lawnmower is so lightweight. The mower bag easily fits into a paper leaf bag so when you are dumping the grass, it just slides into the leaf bag. I like not having to mess with leaf bag to get the grass into it. It mows right through little twigs. It’s a great lawnmower. It makes nice diagonal lines in my grass. It easily goes around trees and mulching. If you have a huge lawn or your a couch potato… you might want to get a second battery set. It’s a great lawnmower … lightweight… easy to move around… not noisy.

Powerful Toy
Right off the box, the mower looks like a toy with all plastic look, compared with my old gas mower. However, it is very powerful as it goes through thick wet grass like nothing, whereas my old 150cc gas mower would struggle hard. Setup is simple, start up sequence needs instructions. The mower does fold down to compact size easily. Spillage is minimal. The mulch collector would get quite packed but it does not spill at all. Moreover, you can tip it over to clean the blade bowl. Charging only takes couple hours. One drawback, since it is all plastic, I do not think i can store it outside with cover on like I did with my old metal mower. Overall, this mower makes mowing easy and fast, quiet, powerful, no engine vibration, no need for engine maintenance like oil change, filter replacement...

Great Mower, surprisingly powerful
Okay so I've had this mower for two summer seasons now. I had to write a review because it's AWESOME. It's light weight and very easy to maneuver. It cuts thick grass and it cuts through little sticks. The two batteries last through a quarter of acre of property and then have to be charged again overnight. It starts fast and easy with a simple push button. I love not having to deal with smelly and messy gasoline or pulling a rope to start it. There is a blade height adjustment lever right on the top which makes it incredibly easy to change. The handle folds in half for easy storage and without the smelly gasoline, you can store it anywhere. I strongly recommend this little machine for small properties.

Made the switch and very happy
So it was time for a new mower as my 20 year old gas mower stopped running while I was cutting the grass a few weeks ago. Thought the carbs just needed to be cleaned but still won't start after cleaning and just so tired of the work it takes to keep it running. Almost threw out my back and shoulder pulling the string a few dozen (seems like hundreds) of times. Could probably get it running again if I had to but I'm over it.I was originally going to get a greenworks but the delivery time was 2 weeks and I couldn't wait that long. The ETA for this one was 1 week so this is the one I ordered. To my pleasant surprise it arrived 2 days after ordering (thanks amazon and lawnmaster!).Assembly consists of attaching the handle, which took all of 5 mins if that. (I think the mower's made in china and sometimes the manuals for stuff made there aren't written in the best English, but this one was written in perfect english). Charged the batteries and cut the grass the next day. The fact that it came with 2 batteries was the biggest deal maker for me. Didn't want to have a single battery die in the middle of cutting. And bonus, it comes with a dual charger so you can charge both at the same time. How does it work? Great. Push the button to start, relatively quiet, height adjustment is a breeze, light, easy to maneuver, no pull string, air filter, spark plug, gas, fumes, oil to worry about, ever. It also comes with a mulcher that you can use instead of the bag if that's your thing. I use the bag which isn't huge, which to me is a good thing as it makes it easy to remove and empty. To clean I just used the leaf blower to blow all the loose grass off and it's so light and easy to tip over compared to my gas mower, just tip it over (and don't have to worry about gas spilling) and blow underneath it. Done.I don't have a ton of space in my garage (old mower was kept outside), but this one (with the handle moved up to its highest position) fits right in to the little space I have in there.Front and back I have give or take about 800 sq feet of lawn and when I was done still had plenty of battery left. I did try to cut as fast as I could to make sure I didn't run out of battery before I was done but now I know that's not necessary for me.I don't know if this is the best electric mower out there but I have no complaints about this one. And it was one of the less expensive ones I looked at.I've seen some reviews saying the batteries were a little tough to get into the mower (or was that for a different brand?) but I had absolutely no issues. They clicked right in and removed easily. Now it's just a matter of seeing how it will hold up after time but after 1 mow I'm happy as can be. And I'm all electric now (blower, weed eater and now mower) so if you're environmentally conscious like me that's a bonus.PS. Glad I read this in the manual but it says to remove the batteries from the charger after they're charged to prolong their life. Some chargers have an auto shut off so it doesn't matter if you leave the batteries in or not, so be aware if you get this one.No problem recommending this one at all, in fact I highly do.
