EXPLODE! - I got the Nice Nice Nice XL 38oz Meal Prep Containers - Stackable Microwavable Dishwasher Safe Reusable BPA Free Only Seksyness Allowed We have all kinds of people using these containers, but maybe youre going for Mr. Olympia 2015. If so, lets do this together bro! This is from the perspective of someone who does meal prep for BEAST MODE purposes. You know who you are. Here are my bullet points: - The critical part of evaluating any product for your needs is to test it first. This container may be no good for you. Buy a pack and try it. This is the beauty of desertcart. But more importantly, I went to their website and these guys look pretty damn LEGIT. Meaning, if there are any issues, they will HANDLE IT like how you manhandle your weights in the gym and dont put it back on the rack. Yeah, you there. - The main reason I got this was because I actually went to their website and looked around and was impressed with their clean look. They also looked like they were running a LEGIT business after a few checks so if I had issues, they would respond ASAP. Hence their claim - HAPPY CUSTOMERS: 100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEED - Not customer service in China/India/Malaysia/Philippines. Not being racist. Its the truth. Truth often hurts. - So I got one pack of 16 first to see whats up. Not the CHEAPEST, but not the most expensive either. Again, I got this because I support the team behind the product which matters most. Their website also doesnt feature naked girls everywhere like other websites to distract you from the real product. So thats a huge plus. - For the nice price point of desertcart, getting 16 containers + 1 more for good gesture included within the box makes 17. For true meal preppers who do this all on the weekend, 17 containers is not enough but I needed to test first. I eat about 7 meals a day for 7 days = 49+ containers. I have a fridge dedicated to my meals only. Typically, I have over 60+ containers for extra meals and backup. - These containers are very nice quality, but you cant exactly feel it. Thats because each container feels solid but very flimsy at the same time. Very bendable. Almost like it would melt in the sun or microwave or under heat. I wish I made a video to show you. Some people said these containers are exactly like the PF Change Chinese Takeout boxes. I would agree only on look and feel. But NOT the internal components. I have NEVER EVER SEEN cheap ass Chinese takeout boxes that are BPA Free Microwavable that is backed by a customer service team within the USA offering "100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEED". Its always made with the cheapest plastic that melts in your THANK YOU COME AGAIN plastic bag. - These hold up fine within the microwave and hot foods just sit there great, but its not ULTRA insulated or anything. Also the container becomes more bendable with more heat, but definitely not like crappy cardboard takeout boxes that disintegrate with liquid. - The lid is also nice as it "snaps" shut with their little flaps that lock with the black base. However, THESE ARE NOT LEAK PROOF. Thats the main problem. You cant be abusing them in your storage container if you have sauces and liquids. They will leak slowly. The lid does snap shut so its not like a huge blowup mess, but the liquids will get out. - So let me break down the main issues for you here: NO Airtight lids leak proof / NO Compartments - Just one tray / 38 Oz Way Too Small / NO FOOD INCLUDED / NO GYM MEMBERSHIP jk on the last two. - Another thing is stacking - It works, but its not a snug fit lock or anything. Just low profile grooves. Slippery. Dont expect LEGO here, but thats what I would like for BEAST level LEGO snug. - Overall, these are SOLID SNAKE products for Metal Gear action. You should try one set and see for yourself. Everyone has different needs, but my needs are very specific. The other companies look suspect. If you have issues, they might send you a bomb. I think these guys are solid. I am going to do more testing and see if I can buy more. Take care everyone and stop talking on your cell phone and hoarding all the weights at the gym and taking up space for other people. Review: Great Meal Prep Containers for Bodybuilders - I do a lot of bodybuilding meal prep -- and these containers are the staple of my diet. They're large (large enough to hold half a pound of meat, and a lot of rice + veggies), they seal INCREDIBLY tight, and are really light weight and easy to carry around. They're also relatively cheap, and last a decent amount of time. There are some downsides, however: - The lids are really hard to get off sometimes. I'm not sure if it's humidity or what. But I'm a pretty strong dude, and I can spend like 3 or 4 minutes pulling as hard as possible before I can get these things off. This seems to happen randomly. So not sure what the problem is. The good part, however, is that these things stay on there -- so if you toss them in a bag nothing will leak out. - Despite these being made of hard plastic, they will crack on occasion. They aren't indestructible. These things have a life span of roughly 6 months for me. Overall, these are great. Despite the downsides, these are reasonably priced, last a decent amount of time (6 months), and are great for carrying meals around in. They're also large enough to hold good sized meals (unlike a lot of the other ones you'll find on desertcart).

Worth the Price, with a minor complaint. Definitely would buy again!
Love the price and utility of the product. I'm about a week in and will update accordingly in a few months. PROS: -Lightweight -Cost AFFORDABLE -They work for what I was looking for: I eat roughly 1/2lb. of chicken and 1lb of chopped veggies a meal. I cook all my food Saturday for 7-10 days, mass freeze it, then reheat as needed CONS: -Flismy Feel: my concern here is the durability of the product. I really like the freeze/reheat quality of my meal prep (vs. refridge and reheat). This will put stress on the plastic, so durability of product is my question here. I've not given 4 stars (as opposed to 5) for this point, as it is still only a concern, not a realized issue. So the product shouldn't be penalized for something it hasn't done. -Freezing Capacity: I love freezing. The seal on this product IS NOT an airtight seal. I tried using wax paper (all I had yesterday in the house!) to assist with this, but no go. I will grab some plastic wrap and reattempt to get a better "trap". My big gripe here (and the 4 stars vs 5 stars) is the accumulation of ice inside the container with the food. While a few days hasn't shown noticeable flavor degradation, I know that these ice crystals will freezer burn food at some point. My previous "cheap meal prep container option" were mason jars. They had a rubber seal at the lid and froze the food beautifully. However, it is a complete pain getting food out of the mouth of the jar on to a plate, then micro more when food is separated, etc, so this product wins out substantially. I admit for the price, this is a great product and a great grab. For the price of two, "super duty freezer proof save the world indestructable" something or other containers I grabbed 16(?) of these guys that do almost the same job. Maybe a sort of clasp or, "lock" can be included in lid design, or a thicker lip on bottom to get a better seal? I would imagine these are not the containers for soup either due to this reason. Overall, I am highly satisfied with the purchase. I would purchase again at this point if I was in the market. Thanks for excellent shipping time and customer service Fitpacker.

Great for meal prepping for Beachbody Hammer and Chisel and 21 Day fix!!!!!!!
I recently started Beachbody's The Master's Hammer and Chisel and bought these to help with meal prepping. I find that it is easier for me to stick to a diet and fitness program if I prep my meals in advance (that way I am not scouring the kitchen looking for Oreos and Cheetos puffs). I was torn between this size and the Fitpacker 28oz size containers. Boy am I glad I got these ones! They are perfect for the amount of portions I need to pack and they stack easily in my fridge. My food stays so fresh! I have had problems in the past with other containers. My chicken or fish would taste chewy and gross after a day or two, but not in these containers! I have even stuck these bad boys in the freezer for a few days and my food still tasted awesome. Microwaving is a breeze (without the lid on, of course). No melting or burning like with other plastic containers. The lid goes on super tight and so far, I have had no problem with leakage or cracking. Clean up is a piece of cake. I have only hand washed these, so unsure of how they would do in the dishwasher. I think they would be fine. The price is great for the value and amount of containers given. I got 16 for the price that other brands are selling 7 for on Amazon. I am so glad that I found these ones. If you are looking for a good set of meal prep containers, I highly recommend these ones!

Perfect for meal prep!
These prep containers are awesome and they're a good size. You can put a good portion of food in them. I like that they are BPA free and made in the U.S. They can be very difficult to open though but I think it's because it's supposed to be leak proof. I haven't tried putting in any liquids in it yet, so not sure how leak proof they are. I recommend these for large portions of meals. _____________ I've had it for about ~1.5 months only and the edges have cracked already on a few of them. I think it is from the tight lid; the lid is very difficult to take off. I think the containers have warped as well from microwaving.
