Listening isn't a trait, it's a skill.
I have loved reading this book.Listening features highly in the work I do and this book packs a huge amount of information and research into it's very readable 250 pages. Listening isn't a trait you either have or don't have, it's a skill you can develop and Oscar creates a very compelling argument as to why you might want to improve your ability to listen. It also has much to offer more experienced practitioners - interesting research, useful statistics and memorable stories - I have already found myself sharing parts of the book in workshops I run as Oscar has a brilliant way of taking complex ideas and making them easy to remember and use.I'll definitely be recommending the book and have chosen it as one of my Book Club reads for 2023.

Listening is a life skill
When it comes to skills that we are taught, and learn, listening somehow gets overlooked.Maybe the assumption is that we have two ears, so of course we can listen. But most of us hear. Without listening. And this is where Oscar Trimboli's new book comes in. It makes you stop and reflect on how well you listen. And at what level you listen.Who knew that we think at a speed way higher than we talk. No wonder people tire of waiting to hear what the person opposite them says, and jumps in with their response. Yeah, not really LISTENING.This book will help you, through the use of some exercises, to slow down, and consider how well you really know "How To Listen".
