Used but looks and performs like new at a steal of a price!
The renewed Dell Latitude 5500 laptop I received looks practically brand new. The keyboard was probably replaced because there is no sign of wear whatsoever on the key caps. On the cover of the laptop, they placed a semi-transparent sheet of plastic that makes the cover of the laptop look new...this seems to be the norm for renewed laptops purchased on Amazon. The system boots immediately into the desktop as user 'dell' w/o a password, which can be changed, but I don't care about that because it a laptop to be used at home and shared with the family. This is the second used laptop I bought from Amazon, along with 4 used desktop machines for labs at work. I've been happy with all computer purchases from Amazon.

Piece of junk - processor failure
Had it for six months and it just stopped turning on. Can't get support because it's refurbished. Buyer beware!!!I had two different teams go through the unit and they found the processor failed. The laptop acts like it's shorting out. Six months. And I hardly used the thing. Will never buy another refurb or another Dell.

Awesome laptop
The computer arrived is a well packed box.Once I powered it on, it booted into a user account. I prefer the setup option from Microsoft. When I tried to add my Microsoft account I was denied access. I preformed a reset recovery. When I finished the setup process, I was able to login with my Microsoft account. I knew from experience how to overcome this challenge. Many would have been frustrated. I suggest you change your setup process for the user.

Extremely satisfied with this purchase.
The Dell Latitude 5500 laptop arrived relatively quickly. There is not a mark on the computer. It looks and performs as if it were new. I am pleased that the Thunderbolt 3 is active, and no further actions are needed to use the feature. I plan to do business with cables4computer in the future.
