Long Ribbed Cape Poncho Red, Black, Beige, Lt Grey, Charcoal, Purple (Black)

... was my first impression when i unpacked this and draped this round my shoulders! I bought the black and it's a good deep black. Called a Cape Poncho and it truly is an enormous amount of fabric- i'm a 14/16 at the mo and it swamps me. Literally. The 'points' come down to just past my knees, and the back line is across the backs of my knees. I'm 5' 5. I could wrap my husband up in here with me too! Not sure what to think at first; i bought this with an 'evening cape/cover-up' sort of thing in mind for over a skimpy dress on a cold evening out soon. I don't think it will work well for that though as it is rather to obviously 'blankety'. Also it hangs rather flat and square at the back. I thought it was going to be a finer knit with more of a floaty look all round. It IS very full and gathered round the sides as it hangs over your arms, but not at the back.I'm keeping the poncho cape and am wrapped up in it as i type, curled up on the sofa in it over my little nighty it's keeping me very warm. I can see me sitting snuggled in this most evenings from now on. I wish now i'd bought the red or purple actually - a more jolly colour, but as i said i was thinking evening wear when i ordered it and wanted black.I'd recommend this if you like a big long swishy bohemian style cardi/coat, without a lot of structure, and don't mind it flapping and doing it's own thing as you move about.

I returned this as far too large - one gust of wind & you could take off!Quality, packaging,delivery times as well as actual refund was all fine.If you are larger than a 12/14 & not very tall, you nay find it a bit too big as well

This is gorgeous. Chenille cape . I ordered the purple and it's aubergine. It is large but I wanted that. I'm a size 20/22 and 5'3 and it drapes to my knees. It's so good I ordered another in black.

Feedback suggested this was quite large - I didn't find that to be the case. I'm 5'9" and it was average to small on me. Photo also suggests it is wider than it actually is. Looks incredibly cheap and nasty when it arrives, improves a bit with washing. I had to repair it after a week (only a couple of wears) as the seam that joins the 2 pieces of fabric was not sewn properly and started unravelling. Overall not impressed. Yes it is cheap, but i'd still expect a higher basic quality standard.

The cape is not as described in the photo - the photo does not have a fringe on the cape and the one that arrived did. It's decent quality, warm with some stretch but the tassels hook you to every available piece of furniture and really should come with a little yellow warning hazard. It's ok, just not as I expected.

This is exactly what I wanted, the only problem I find is trying to get it back off friends who like to 'borrow' it :D

This is a perfect item to maintain body temperature in a chilly house when your housemates are too tight to turn the central heating on!! Love it!
