My dog has taken this for a week now. I am so happy that she now is walking more quickly and definitely with a spring in her step. Off lead she races ahead and has so much fun - just as she did when younger. She is 7years old, and I shall be giving this to her daily from now on. Finding such a brilliant product I intend to continue with the flexibility and stamina it has given her, and relieving her painful joints. Thank you :)

Powder form is easy to mix with pet food
Glucosamine in powder form is much easier to administer, just mix it in with the pet food. We tried glucosamine with our two previous elderly pets, a dog and cat, and it worked very well, better than it did for us elderly humans. The pets became noticeably more mobile.

Seems to work
My 6yr old Akita Ruby had an inflammation of the nerve in her back and slight arthritic symptoms in her hip, these were causing her to limp slightly on her hind leg when rising. She was prescribed a long-term anti-inflammatory and also had a course of hydrotherapy, with only slight improvement. I requested a change of medication and she was given high dose Rimadyl and was due to have the dose gradually titrated down to a maintenance dose over a period of a few weeks. I noticed an improvement with the Rimadyl very quickly- she stopped limping. However, because of the side effects I really wasn't keen on keeping her on long-term Rimadyl (or any other anti-inflammatory medication) if I could possibly help it, but I wanted to maintain the improvement. After some research, I decided to try this. She's been taking it for over a week and remains limp free. I give her 1 3/4 teaspoons as she weighs 40 kgs. It's a bit more than recommended but doesn't seem to have caused any unwanted side effects. She happily eats it mixed in with her breakfast. I have put it in a jar as recommended by other reviewers. I've given four stars as obviously it's still early days, and I have to credit the Rimadyl for working so well in the first place The only slight negative is that Ruby is now so well she seems to have regressed to puppyhood and galumphs around like a small hippopotamus, throwing objects which result in occasional breakages. But as long as she's happy I don't mind!

Great stuff
I have been using this for over a year now. My dog started to get arthritis and really slowed down, this brought a bounce back into his step. It really does work, whilst I was away for a couple of days my partner forgot to give it to him, he really struggled again, within a couple of days of restarting he is back to being active again and no more limping. So easy to use, sprinkle on your dogs food and mix in, no taste so they are not aware they are taking it.

Seeing real progress
My 12 Jack Russell had recently started with a limp. The vet treated her for a strain and gave pain relief which really upset her tummy. Vet said to take her back if it didn't improve. The week went on and the limp stopped but I noticed back leg weakness and shaking. She stopped going upstairs, wouldn't get out of bed in he mornings and was very slow on walks. I did some research and suspect this wasn't a strain but the start of arthritis. I ordered this after reading about it in the internet. I'm only 2 and half week into giving the dog this but already seeing a massive difference. She is much more playful, she's back at normal speed on her walks and she's attempted the stairs on a couple of occasions. Although the weakness in her legs is still there it's no where near as bad and she doesn't seem in any pain anymore. I'm hoping to see further progress over he coming weeks. I have also started her on fish oil and got her an heated bed which are also meant to help with the symptoms. The only thing I will say is this did upset my dogs tummy for the first couple of days, I knocked down the dosage then built it back up to the recommended amount over a week or so and now she's fine with it.

Glucosamine works for humans - so why not give it a try
We have got through one packet now but I can't tell if it works or not yet, I am using it for 3 little ankle biters who, like me are getting on in years. I am going to give it the benefit of the doubt and buy the bigger bag which will take us up to Christmas; I am surprised that they eat it as usually if I add anything to the food they walk away from it, but I stir this vigorously into their wet food until the powder melts into the meat and they accepted it from the very first meal. The shih-tzu has very clicky hips which the vet is treating, so she has a crushed tablet mixed into her dry food and some of this in the wet food and she is the oldest and fussiest of them all. Hopefully I will be able to tell in a couple of months more if this is working for my 3 fur-babies, I am sure it will.
