FIXING METHOD!
CONTRARY TO WHAT I HAVE READ IN OTHER CUSTOMER REVIEWS THAT THIS ITEM IS 'NOT', ANYTHING LIKE BALSA WOOD' BUT VERY MUCH STRONGER, POSSIBLY MDF!THE ONLY RECOMENDATION I WOULD SUGGEST IS THAT INSTEAD OF THE HIDDEN FIXING TO WALL METHOD, IS TO DRILL TWO HOLES RIGHT THROUGH THE BACK WHICH ENABLES ONE TO USE LARGER SCREWS WITH A WHITE CAP FOR EACH SCREW, THUS ELIMINATE ANY TEMPLATE NEEDED AND END UP WITH A MUCH STRONGER AND VERY MUCH EASIER TO FIX ITEM. THE WHITE CAPS COVERING THE HEAD OF THE SCREWS ARE BARELY NOTICABLE AND IN MY OPINION DOES NOT DESTRACT FROM THE OVERALL LOOK AND FIX OF THIS ITEM!CAN SUPPLY NAME AND ADDRESS IF REQUIRED!

Shelf
Delivery was fast .The shelf is great , unfortunately when I closed iit the wood split and broke off on the hinge so we had to glue it back

Great idea but poor choice of construction
The shelf wasn’t cheap but the idea was great. On opening the box the hinge mount was made of short-grained timber and for some reason was broken within the box. Such a disappointment. (Photos added) Sorry needed to be metal

What a great idea, but poor accessories.
This is a great idea and exactly what we were looking for. Luckily I have some DIY skills so I could make my own judgement on the instruction and installation. For starters a very good idea providing the piece of paper with the hole representing where we have to drill, but why do half a job and not have the piece of paper the full size of the back of the shelf??? This way it would be easier to place it on the wall and mark the holes exactly where you want the shelf.... seriously!!! And another reason why I have given this a 3 Star... is the screws they provided for hanging the shelf, they do not slide up the bracket as the head of the screw is too big. Luckily I had some screws with smaller heads that worked for me. Honestly whoever manufactured this....why do half a job? we as the customer are paying a lot of money for this, £29 so we expect it to work.

Lovely floating shelf
We have fixed it to a chest of drawers next to our bed, good size for the alarm clock. It looks great and is quite sturdy and good value for money.

Difficult to assemble
When adding the screws to keep the shelf attached to the brackets, the wood split almost immediately and the screws did not stay in.I tried both an electric screw driver and a manual one and had the same issue with both.Drilling a hole to put the screw in also didn't help as when the screw went in, it still split the wood.There are no guidances on where the put the screws which also makes it tricky to tell.Overall - not impressed and difficult to install.

Good but a little over priced
Size and function of folding table is ideal for space we had the use of it for, expensive for what it is but couldn’t find anything else to fit our requirements so sometimes you just have to pay the price! It does what it should do and is as described and arrived in perfect condition so overall happy and could only be happier if it was a bit more reasonable in price.
