The base is 18 cms across. Good luck! **Q: How much liquid fits in it, one litre?** A: I purchased two - a 20 cm omelette pan and a 26 cm. In terms of capacity, one litre of water comes to about 5mm below the brim of the 20cm and two litres reaches a similar level on the 26mm.
