For this price and youre just looking for a proper daily use knife, this is perfect. Great price, feels great, handles very comfortably and is pretty balanced overall looks well designed and comes decently sharp out of the box.

Great purchase, I checked reviews of knives and tried this knife hoping since it was an "Amazon Choice" that it would be a good one, and surprisingly it is excellent. It feels like a good weight, I have not put it in the dishwasher so I can not comment on that. One comment I read said to be careful with it because the man that bought it had accidentally cut himself. Even though I was trying to be careful I also cut myself. It is sharp and I hope it will stay that way.

This is a great everyday kitchen knife. It’s very sharp, cuts through meat and vegetables easily, and feels comfortable and well balanced in the hand. The size and weight are just right, and it feels sturdy without being too heavy. Very happy with the quality!

I wasn’t expecting much given the price, but this knife surprised me. It has a good weight and balance for an 8-inch chef’s knife, and the blade came sharp right out of the box — handled slicing and chopping without any issues. This knife is worth more than the $80 knife my son bought! It cuts as clean and easily like his knife but guess who saved a lot of money—ME! The reviews sold me on this knife. I’m a big fan of my Chicago Cutlery knives and I still have them! But this Amazon knife is just as good. I even bought a quality knife sharpener for good measure. I would highly recommend anyone to buy this due to its good looking appearance, grip, and although it’s a bit heavy it feels durable!

If you don't want a 10" blade, this 8" blade chef's knife is of excellent quality at a low price. The blade is from thin stock which is beautifully tapered on both sides and the cutting edge is finished with a slight bevel on both sides. Just two honing a week should keep this knife slicing very well. I shouldn't need to go on a stone for years. A+++++
