RUKOTerrax Hand Held Tap Set DIN 352 Ground M6

Superior to cheap carbon-steel taps
Unlike some other reviewers of these taps, I have found them to work very well indeed. As an example, I attempted to tap a hole, in a cast iron vice body, using a cheap set of carbon-steel taps. It was very hard going and one of them broke-off in the work-piece. Luckily, I was able to remove it from the hole. Subsequently, I tried the Ruko Terrax set. These three taps worked like a hot knife through butter. The process required much less effort and produced a clean thread. None of the taps broke. I'm certainly no expert in the use of taps and dies. Nevertheless, I used this HSS set with ease. Based on this experience, I recommend them.

Poorly made compared to Volkel
Bought these hoping they would last better than the generic taps from b&q but no, unfortunately not. It would seem I got a defective finishing tap which snapped a flute with basically no force at all, not what I was expecting for the price. Going to be trying another brand for sure. EDIT: Exchanged for Volkel taps of the same size and they are far superior, they cut a lot easier and seem to be designed so it won't sheer inside the hole. Definitely spend the extra few pounds.

Not as shown
They are much better than the el-cheapo set (single cutters) that I've struggled with for the last 15 years, but they are also not bottom taps as shown. All are tapered to a point. I ordered them because I need bottom taps....That said, I've used them 4 times since I've had them and they make a nice thread once finished.I bought M4x0.7

Great value taps
The price was right as I thought I'd try them and was really surprised by the quality of the steel used...very sharp and so far streets above similar priced taps.Worth trying

Do not buy!
As other reviewer, I work in stainless steel, and as he described these taps have not been made correctly, I threw the taper tap away as it was useless! The second and bottom struggle aswell. Perhaps this was a batch manufacturing error, but I wouldn't recommend buying these, even though Terrax are normally good.

Good tools.
Good quality taps. Work well with good progression of cutting stages 1,2,3 leaving good finish. Was able to tap a hard piece of stainless steel.

Excellent product. I needed to tap 38 holes
Excellent product. I needed to tap 38 holes, half done with a 1 piece tap of witch i snapped 1. These Zipped through 9mm of steel in less than half the time it took to do the first 19 holes even with needing to swap out the taps.
