LiquitexProfessional Gesso Surface Prep Medium, 237ml (8.0 oz), Gray

I like the thickness of the product. You can water it down if you like. I did try Vallejo and found it to be runny so this is definitely better.

Enjoyed using the gesso. It’s grey neutral and can be sanded down very easily. Maybe it’s just me but using distilled water while sanding made the texture smoother after it dried.

If you have never tried Gray gesso and have to add it to your list. It is so awesome. It has a bit of a sheen to it. It truly adds a different dimension to your mixed media. Give it a try.

I'm using this product to prime war gaming miniatures, so I can't speak authoritatively on its other uses.If you've become spoiled from using Liquitex's Black Gesso (and I have), this is not a slam-dunk product. It does reduce and constrict like its Black equivalent, but coverage is spotty and the streaks will be worse. You'll have to practice a few times before you get the technique down. I've found it's switching between controlled brush loads and just glooping it on and praying that the constriction process works well.Is it better than priming black and then layering up with gray paint? I'm not sure yet.

Painting on canvas

a medium gray color gesso, great for priming canvas; I recommend.

I'm not sure how this brand would do on canvas. I found it to be a bit watery when using on copper metal (if you plan to use for colored pencil jewelry). It took way more coats than it should have. However, it did leave a nice gray background.

Beautiful dark grey gesso that primes my canvases perfectly and gives a unique base tone to work from. While the size of the bottle is relatively small, I know this is a niche shade that I will happily use occasionally, and being made by liquitex reflects the price of name brand art supplies. Giving the product four stars as it performs excellently, but I’m sure there are similar products for a cheaper price point out there.

Good thick product that adheres well.

I used this to prime some wood panels for oil painting, it spreads well you can either give it one thick coat or a few thinner ones with a bit of sanding (recommended) but it works great it gives you so much more time to work with the oils and they dry at a much more manageable rate. Definitely recommend this.
