I bought this for use with my 2019 F150 and have had no issues! My transmission had learned some pretty shoddy adaptations from the previous owner but now, thanks to this cable allowing me to use ForScan to disable adaptive learning, my shifts are buttery smooth! I have already personally recommended this cable to multiple friends who also own F150s.

Bought this for my mechanic husband and it’s been amazing to have! We had some issues with our ford expedition and this made it so he could see all the code and clear/fit what he needed to. He was able to turn off the auto shut off so it doesn’t turn off when you stop at a red light. BEST THING EVER. The program and device seem easy to use!

I really like this Vgate vLinker FS OBD2 USB adapter. It’s easy to use and has worked without any issues. I’ve owned and used various automotive scanners and programmers over the years, but most of my experience had been with Chevrolet and Japanese vehicles. I recently moved into Ford diagnostics and needed an inexpensive, reliable adapter that would work seamlessly with FORScan for feature programming and upgrades on a 2018 Ford F-150. The Vgate vLinker worked perfectly with FORScan. I was able to quickly connect, download and back up the vehicle’s existing configuration for safekeeping, make coding changes, and then reload the updated configuration back into the truck without any problems. That backup capability alone adds a lot of confidence when making changes. Since then, I’ve used this adapter at least a half dozen times diagnosing and working on Ford vehicles for friends and family, and it has been consistently reliable. For the price, this is an excellent value and an easy recommendation for anyone who needs to use FORScan on a Ford vehicle for diagnostics, programming, or feature upgrades.

Seems to work well with my laptop. Not sure if the USB port on my laptop is compromised or if the cable is, but I do tend to lose connection from time to time. Works well with MultiscanECU and forscan. Has been working well for the last year with very few problems. I do recommend it, as I'm not sure if the port I have is the problem (cheap Walmart gateway laptop I'm using).

Exactly what I needed!

We recently purchased a 2000 F-150 with a manual transmission. For some reason, Ford equipped these trucks with a gauge cluster that only has a speedometer and no tachometer. We didn't really need a tachometer, but I like having one for diagnostic purposes and to keep an eye on engine RPM. After a trip to the junkyard, we found a perfect replacement cluster from a similar-year Expedition. The only problem was that Ford incorporated the PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System) into the gauge cluster. Once we installed the replacement cluster, the truck wouldn't recognize the existing keys, so we needed a way to program new ones. We downloaded the free version of FORScan on our laptop, and with this cable we were able to program two new keys and get the truck started with the replacement cluster installed. The cable worked exactly as it was supposed to and saved us from having to take the truck to a dealer or locksmith just to program the keys. If you're working on a Ford and need to use FORScan for programming or diagnostics, this cable worked great for us.
