Great study bible..but heavy

Has your personal study of the Bible been frustrated? Check out the MacAruthur Study Bible. It provides the reader: summary book outlines, verse annotations, center column subject references, an overview of theology, a concordance for the New King James Version key word studies, charts, and maps. This is a new Bible in outstanding condition as stated by the bookseller. It is a large print version which makes it easily readable for those needing eyeglasses or contact lenses. Delivery was exactly on time. This Bible was an excellent purchase. I recommend Goldbridge Trading as a reputable bookseller!

For those having trouble accessing the Bible's study features. You can access the study notes by placing the cursor under any underlined verse or underlined letter note. The cursor will automatically switch to the finger pointer icon. When you press the 5-way controller button, the Kindle will take you to the corresponding note or verse link. After you have read the notation press the "back" button to return to the point where you were originally reading. All of the notes and cross references are there, you simply need to access them by positioning the cursor underneath the highlighted verse and pressing the 5-way button. Here is another hint for accessing the notes and cross references sequentially. After you access the notes for the particular verse you are interested in, you can continue to access commentary for any subsequent verses by simply paging forward (or back). This will allow you to access the notes in the order they appear instead of having to constantly revert back and forth between the actual text and any related notes. Once you have perused the commentary, you can go back to reading the original passage (by pressing the back button to take you where you last were in the text) without the constant interruption flipping back and forth for every highlighted verse note. This NKJV on the Kindle is very readable and has replaced my leather bound Wesley Study Bible as my main edition. I own four or five Kindle Bibles and this is the most comprehensive and easiest to read. Another Kindle feature that I find quite helpful with this "study" Bible is the ability to highlight and save passages. This allows you to select those scriptural passages that are especially inspiring to you and to have them handy in one place. The Kindle organizes your highlighted text in the same order as the text appears in the Bible itself. So after a period of time, you will find that you have amassed quite a collection of inspirational quotes from your reading. These quotes can serve as a very effective and convenient daily devotional, easy to access in one place so as to avoid first finding and then flipping to and between actual pages in the Biblical text.

Already loving it! Learned something in John's into. Nice large print and the intros are the same font size as the Bible text! The footnotes has smaller fonts (to be expected) but still easy to read. Here are the dimensions as I couldn't find the info before buying. 2.75 x 6.75 x 9.5 in inches.

I love this bible. I read the entire thing (took a minute) and loved that I could reference the meaning behind the passages.

I really appreciate how much information was put in this bible. It is really heavy. I liked it so much I gave it away as the print size is easy on the eyes and will replace. After I gave it away to I wanted to look a little at it to know if I should rebuy same one. I noticed that a couple of pages were bad very readable but bad. It did not have a rip though over all I think it is a great book. I don't think one can go wrong with a thick bible unless not used.

The number 1 study bible, verse by verse, you could easily tell your friends and church mates and colleagues the meaning of every bible verse.

Really pleased just what my husband needed.

After just a few days using this study Bible it's obvious that an enormous amount of work has gone into it. Apart from comments on the entire Bible text itself, with cross-references and added comments, and a detailed introduction to each book, there are very helpful sections explaining the origins of the Bible, Bible history, major Christian doctrines, etc. as well as maps, tables and timelines. And the good thing is it's all written in plain English, so is easily accessible to everyone. This study Bible is very good value indeed.
