The last few years we’ve been buying Cuisinart coffee makers as they make good coffee, are affordable, and look nice. But the carafes break constantly, so we’re done with that brand. We enjoy the quality of a French press brew, but kind of a hassle to make. So, after a lengthy search chose this new Zojirushi design, and it’s fantastic! Super simple without all the bells and whistles. The most important thing is that is makes amazing coffee - it brews at the right temperature! So many coffee makers do not get the water hot enough for the right brew. You can choose the strength of the brew by just toggling a lever, and it’s just a simple on/off switch to operate. The one thing we had to get used to, however, is that the hot plate function doesn’t turn off automatically, we have to remember to turn the maker off when we’re done. But that’s not a big deal.
