Love this little Pressure Cooker
Good quality built, small but big enough for 2.This is the first Pressure Cooker I use, because I've been scared of the old style pressure cooker in the 80s. I thought it would be difficult to use, how wrong was I, it is very easy - the user manual is well written, how to use it and also giving guide times for different ingredients. So far I've cooked different vegetables - potatoes, carrots, kale, broccoli, etc; and find that the veg are softer than I would like, so I jotted down less time on the manual so the next time they were perfect for me. I've also cooked oxtail, chicken and beef joint, and very happy with the result.I am particularly happy with how much faster it cooks compared to normal or slow cooking. I've saved time as well as money as I use less gas for my cooking. I should've used this pressure cooker years ago!I have since bought a larger (28cm 8ltr) Kuhn Rikon to cook larger meals. One niggle - It's a bit difficult to keep this beauty spotless, but I still give it 5 star for the performance.

It lives up to the reputation of "Swiss made"
I have three pressure cookers over the past 20 years (all still in use), but this is by far the best (although priciest). The gasket is very soft, and after five years it still stays like that, while the Tefal one went stiff and lost air-tightness after only 1.5 years. Another advantage of Kuhn Rikon over Tefal is that the gasket does not smell. The build of the lid is also superior. There are very few places to trap or lose steam, so it is far more energy efficient, and less liquid is lost. Being Swiss made, it is not only sleek but beautifully engineered. The only gripe I have is that it does not go into the dishwasher.

Love my new p.cooker.
I bought the 3.5l version for the stove on the boat, it's exactly the same diameter of base to the kettle so the pan restraints don't have to be moved! The p.cooker is easy to use and easy to clean, I have made a lovely tagine in about 1 hour starting from scratch. iI's great to have a lovely warm meal when it's gone wet windy and cold; made in much the same time as heating up some 'cans of'. It also makes great marmalade! I am so impressed with it! So unlike the aluminium p.cookers I have used in the past.

Major design flaw
The top steel cap has 3 very delicate plastic prongs 2 of these have broken off after a few months of buying it. Terrible design, why didn't they use a more robust substance.

Broke just after first year and there is no warranty on it
We are big fans of pressure cookers - has been using cheaper model from another company for five years. Eventually there was some problem with it so we decided to upgrade to more expensive model. All reviews of Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker were positive, also product description mentions 10 years warranty. In the end we decided to give it a try. It looks pretty simple and reliable. We used it for a year without issues. However after a year plastic parts started to break. Firstly the metal part on top of the lid felt off. The reason is it is fitted using plastic component underneath and this component decided to break one day. Secondly the handle felt off too. Then I tried to return/claim warranty on this product. However it looks this cooker is just covered by 30 days money back guarantee by Amazon. There is no option to claim warranty which I could not believe since it was sold by Amazon. What happened to 10 years warranty??In the end we are really disappointed. This product costs 3-4 times more than cheap models produced by competitors which is OK if it is much better and covered by longer warranty. However it broke just after a year and there is no warranty at all!

Fantastic
Ok you get what you pay for but this cooker is so great and easy to use. It is my first pressure cooker and I use it about 3 times a week to cook beans for my vegan diet. They come perfect in 12 minutes rather than an hour if I cook it just in normal pan. Looks stylish too

Perfect
A couple of years ago I bought a WMF pressure cooker. I have always had problems with it losing steam through the gasket in the lid, so I decided to replace it with a Kuhn Rikon. It looks good, is not too heavy, but the main thing is that it is completely steam tight. I have seen many pressure cookers over the years and they all leak some steam but this one is the exception. It means that it is totally quiet and you finish cooking with exactly the same volume of liquid as you started. A remarkable performance.

Excellent pressure cooker
I'm very happy with this pressure cooker. It's well made, easy to clean. Now i can cook potatoes, lentils in 10min. It also saves me at least 50kWh of electricity per month. Highly recommended.

A very high quality pressure cooker
This is my second Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker. I've had a 7.4 qt for years and wanted a smaller one. Kuhn Rikon build quality is very good and it's a pleasure to use. The simple design and high quality materials make these utilitarian tools beautiful as well as functional. They don't vent unless over-pressured, so you don't have to worry about managing water loss during cooking. I've never had anything burn in it. I have a third pressure cooker made by a reputable company that I use sometimes, but it's not in the same league. The Kuhn Rikon is easier to use and much easier to clean. The Kuhn Rikon also has a superior silicone rubber gasket. There are parts in my other pressure cooker that just aren't accessible to clean properly. I can't really think of a negative for the Kuhn Rikon other than the sticker shock!
