Best grass seed I ever got it’s very thick. The colors is beautiful well worth the money. The size of the bag is pretty large. Definitely will be getting more from my yard.

We had so many bare spots and have tried so many other seeds. We did thoroughly prep the soil, rototiller, etc and we watered 2x daily. It is so plush and filling in so nicely, I’m shocked!! Thank you! Ordering another bag for the front yard bare spots.

9 days later we had some nice grass. Definitely going to over seed with Kentucky blue grass later on but it filled in the patches

I thought I'd wait a month before writing a review so I could tell whether or not it was going to hold up. So far so good! I live in a saltwater environment under a ton of oak trees, so growing grass is a real challenge. I decided to throw this down as a test to see if it'd do well. It's been a month now and I have green grass growing where there were bare patches of dirt before. It's a very thin blade, so if you screw up the seeding, it's pretty easy to tell. Don't ask me how I know that. I've mowed it twice now with a zero turn and it cuts well, but you can definitely tell where the tracks of the tires are as the grass lays flat until the next day.I'll update after a few more months as to it's durability.

I was told to try to order Grass seed online to get a better deal than what they sell at the big box stores. This brand had good reviews and seemed like a good deal. The label claimed a 90% germination rate. I planted this seed on the back half of my lawn along with 2 bags of large name brand from Home Depot on the front side of my lawn, and watered accordingly. I would like to mention I am a contractor and I plant grass seed all the time, And I know what I'm doing.My big box store (annual rye) grass seed all sprouted within 3 days and is now 4" high...... NONE of this grass seed from Amazon has sprouted and it's been 3 weeks. Like ZERO sprouts, bare lawn. I'm convinced the seed I got was old and/or kept in poor conditions and all the seed was dead.

Fall lawn prep, with dethatching, aeration of large front and back yard lawns. Backyard had some problem areas (photo) which I had to essentially reseed from scratch. The photos are exactly 6 days after I prepped my lawn, which included aeration and over seeding. Watered early am and pm each day. Was dubious given some reviews were not good. I can tell you as far as my experience - outstanding!!!!! New grass is growing so well and rapidly. I assume the negative comments were likely due to poor prep of the lawn and maybe no aeration. With the aeration, the seeds got in deep and I then rolled a thin layer of top soil mixed with peat moss. Will use again for sure, but IMO for optimal growth - lawn/soil prep is key and watering. Have always liked jonathan Green products and use their fertilizers also.
