Remember old time movies where the woman was brushing her hair at her dressing table? This brings to mind why they did that. So luxurious and pampering. Always thought it was so theatrical but there is a practical purpose to this. I have been using this brush 2 x a day and my hair is fuller and the natural oils are distributed to give a non-greasy shine. Never thought boar bristles could make such a difference. Definitely worth it.

I have very thin hair so this brush is gentle. I've only had it for a couple weeks but it seems that I am shedding a bit less.

I have somewhat dense but thinning hair that is collarbone length. The brush bristles are 3/4 inch length and are soft. The bristles do not penetrate to my scalp. The brush handle has a cloth base which is curved and is difficult to clean without getting the cloth wet. This didn’t work for me. I had to get a brush with 1 inch stiff bristles with an all wood handle.

I personally love this brush because it works really well with my hair type. I have very fine/thin hair that gets very oily on the top and dry on the ends. This brush helps a lot to distribute the natural oils and gave a beautiful shine to my hair after using it for a couple weeks. The instructions that came with the brush were very helpful in getting the best results. Barely any shedding of the bristles, even when cleaning. I don't think this brush would work for someone with thick hair because it barely makes it through mine. Lastly I love how it's a wooden base and comes with a wooden comb too.

While looking for a hairbrush on Amazon, I found this 100% boars hair brush, and thought, 'I remember those!'. In my teens and 20's, I used boars hair brushes and loved them. So I gave this one a try. First of all, the makers of this brush are proud of it - they pack it carefully and provide a special bag for storage. The brush is made of wood and has the company logo on it. In addition to the brush, they provide a matching wood comb. Both are beautiful and feel sturdy in your hand. The wood is smooth and polished.I have been using this brush for some weeks now and I am really pleased with the condition of my hair. I had been having trouble with it being limp and unmanageable, but the body, bounce and shine are back. It feels thicker and fuller - which is never the case in winter.I have also had problems as I've gotten older with strange parts appearing in the back of my head, which were difficult to hide. Those parts are still there, of course, but are almost completely hidden in the fullness of my hair. At 70 years older, I feel like my younger hair is back. My hair is white at the top which can make it look thin, but even the white hair looks full.I don't know why it has helped my hair, but the material does say that boars hair bristles distribute your scalp's natural sebum. I also think it helps remove some of the residue from styling products.I use this once a day before bed for around 5 minutes. I brush in sections - the bristles are short, and you want to make sure you make gentle contact with your scalp as you brush. I start at the bottom and brush upward, using the comb to pull sections down and continue to brush up and down between each section. A nice little scalp massage.This brush is not for styling but for hair health and it did greatly improve my hair's look and feel.
