This one , trust me, at least spend this much!
There's a load of very similar less expensive items available, and on conparison of details ,it appears you can get away with spending less, I bought a £30 item else where and had to return in straight away ,it just wasn't up to the task, stitching was weak. However, this one is very noticeable better materials, construction and design(imo). It has far less buckles, which means accessing the compartments, only needs at most 2 clips undoing, unlike the 4 of those others. It's 60 litre, most the others come in around 50 litres.Yeah it's great being able to remove the extra attached bags on the other designs, but tbh I didn't need to, I bought a bag this size , cos I need the storage, and those others rattle and move as you walk, so this design I've found to be better. The zip tags are paracord, and silent when walking, unlike the metal others, that also rattle. The surplus webbing straps are held with a Velcro retainer once set to length, so no flappy webbing. The attachment of the shoulder straps to the top of the bag look well designed and sturdy, unlike the other less expensive designs.I'll update review once I've used a while.Edit: still going strong dispite daily use, I'm living in a tent ATM, so it's been tested to capacity.100% Recommend.

Nice strong bag for a great price
I'm not in the military but I do use this bag in the police and it does the job nicely. It is strong, spacious and loads of handy pockets. It is quite bulky so I'm pretty sure you'd not want to use it to carry stuff on the bus or whilst riding a bike but if you need an overnight bag or for going hiking etc then I would recommend. I regularly use it for camping and if we're going away for a couple of days. One other thing to bear in mind is that compared to a lot of "military" grade bags, this bag is quite cheap. Most good quality military grade bags will easily set you back over £100, I didn't pay anywhere near as much for this one (in fact I actually ended up buying two) so for that reason I would highly recommend this bag.One last thing: I haven't carried mine in the rain for long so I'm not sure of waterproof levels but I would recommend getting some bag liners or a bag cover just in case.

Excellent day sack
I have an MTP version from another manufacturer that was bought for deployment costing more than double. Bought the black version to use travelling and general day to day, this is an amazing daysack, don't be drawn in to the cheap versions out there, this is well worth the money for a quality bit of kit. Exactly the same as my original.

Promising rucksack BUT...
I was really looking forward to receiving this rucksack so when it arrived I was quite excited. The bag looked great, had more compartments and storage places than I could ever wish for and felt very sturdy and well made.Well, so I thought...As I was filling up the rucksack with my stuff I opened up the back pocket where the metal/plastic plate is kept.I put my hydration bladder inside and then zipped it back up...Only for the zip to come straight off. I barely even pulled that hard and was quite shocked really. It made me lose faith in the quality of the rucksack and because that compartment is really important to me I am going to return it.It may just be a fault with my bag so I am not necessarily discouraging others from buying. In fact, besides this issue, it seemed like a great bag (hence the 3 stars not 1). And looking at the reviews it appears that not many others have had this issue. But a bag that is touted as a military-style bag should be able to withstand being zipped up (especially for the first time!).So yes, I'm disappointed but if you are considering getting the bag, it does seem great in every other aspect.

Ideal
Ok received today and comparing it to my current 511 rush rucksack.I like the size of the Kombat it can fit more of my kit inside plus it's molle so I can attach external pouches make it ideal.Side pouches built in are a bonus for small items or drinks.I also like straps on the inside at rear to hold kit in place if need be...Overall it was recommended to me by two of my colleagues...Recommended on.basis of intitial l size, quality appears ok time will tell.

Loads of space
This is probably the best 60l rucksack you can get of the shelf.

Feels cheap
The zip string broke off after the 2nd use and the seller has ignored all of my messages. Not good customer service at all.
