If you closely look at the back of the card, one can exactly and easily tell whether the card is upright or reverse. Did you just ignore this problem?

There are a great many other Tarot Packs and oracle decks in which you can easily distinguish Upright and Reverse cards from the back.

The issue is not with the cards, it's training yourself not to take any notice of what position the cards are in and let the spirit of the deck or whatever spirit you call upon to aid in your readings do the choosing.

This can manifest in any number of ways. Some being the card flying from the deck as you shuffle, a subtle intuition, or feeling into the energy of the deck.

If you learn the art of feeling subtle energy you will very well be able to thumb through the deck and feel which cards are yours.

The back of the cards do not matter and if you let this detail bother you you will be greatly disappointed in many wonderful decks.

How is this deck compared to the original rider-waite deck? any differences in illustration, is it the same or pretty close? and how is the energy?

The illustrations are the same, they are vividly colored and gold "foiled" - amazing!! The energy of these cards has been exceptional so far as well and my readings have been clear and on point. The cards are swoon worthy in low light, like candlelight. And, they shuffle like butter! I love that they're water resistant so I can bless them with moon water, tears, misty rain or take them camping. The synthetic coating may be a downside to some but I see them as retaining their power. I can sage and bless a cursed baby doll, why not these - lol. Get them, they are beyond gorgeous and hands down quickly becoming my favorite deck!! Blessed be )O(
