Great light for the price
For the price you pay this gives great value for money.. whilst the metal is not the strongest , it is a nice light (no pun intended) to fit and its quite straightforward with good solid plastic casement.Whilst the instructions are not great, but are easy to work out how to fit for a first time fitter..Have bought two of these units to brighten up the double garage \ workshop and recommend them

Good upgrade to old fluorescent tube
Bought the product to replace an aging fluorescent tube light in my garage. No delay or buzzing when switching on and offers much much improved light levels. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is for the poor fitting instructions which hindered the installation. The instructions were of no use and the fitting is very fiddly. My advice would be to take plenty of time looking at the product and understanding how it fits together before installing it. Particularly be aware of the fixed fitting points on the lamp if you are fitting to ceiling joists - I had to fit a wooden batten first to avoid drilling extra holes in the body of the lamp.Had the lamp working now for about 6 weeks and very pleased with the overall result and lighting levels.

Good, solid garage/workshop light
This was all I hoped it would be. Well made and a good useful light output. I must admit I was put off by the instructions a little as they are neither full nor clear. I cast my mind back to Star Wars as a kid and what Obi-wan Kinobe and said to Luke. I just dug deep, found the force and sorted it. It took a while. I am competent DIYer and having taken a photo of the existing wiring set up, just copied it to the new fitting. One tip I would advise is attach the light cover clips to the main body before attaching the main body to the ceiling. There are 10 of those clips and they are quite stiff....and it is best not to be grappling upside down and stressing anything. Really pleased with the output and can see a whole lot more in my double garage.

Good but unsure about tubes
Delivery took a long time but finally arrived, box was hanging open but the contents where in good condition. The light unit itself is of high quality and works great, the 22w led light tubes seam to be of high quality apart from one of them does not work, the one that works is externally bright and seams robust but unfortunatly one is defective hence the reason for only 3 stars, I will be contacting the supplier about this issue and hopefully get it resolved, but the unit itself is an amazing bit of kit for the reasonable price

Lacking in clear assembly instructions.
Well packed so received in good order. Assembly instructions lacked detail so had to make assumptions as to how it is assembled and mounted. My advise to anyone purchasing this item is to fit the cover retaining clips to the plastic body BEFORE fitting the unit to the ceiling/wall etc. They are very hard to clip into the body. I pushed one end of the clip into one end of the retainer then pressed the other end into place. The plastic body is fitted to the mounting surface by two metal clips that have to be positioned above the plastic body mounting points. These can be released by twisting the internal mounting clips through 90 degrees.I bought the 5 foot version and found the tubes to be very flimsy and when fitted they sag. Make sure they are only rotated 90 degrees in their holders otherwise they fall out and switch them on before fitting the cover to make sure they are fitted the right way up, they will present a dark shadow if upside down. They lights are bright and white giving a good spread of light.Suppliers. Do something about the instructions.

Great. Still running just fine nearly 1 year on. About to buy another for the attic.
Excellent service and a great product. Delivered quickly. Replaced a rusting 5ft twin fluorescent light in the garage. Easy installation and very good light level. The polycarbonate cover/diffuser means that it's protected from accidental bumps etc.Still running just fine nearly 1 year on. About to buy another for the attic. Just checked an the price is still less than at my electrical wholesaler.Tips:* Being a plastic body I decided that it was worth mounting it on a piece of batten rather than screwing directly to the roof/rafters (which are about 800 on centre).* For best results ensure that the tubes are rotated to shine the light down as the very top of tubes are less illuminated.

Not as robust as you might think?
The description declares this item to be robust but, mine was received damaged and unusable. I shall be sourcing a similar item from a local electrical DIY store, so as to ensure the light fitting is in perfect condition and safe for installation.

Used two of these units to replace the existing flourescent tubes in the workshop, which were old and corroded. If you know a little about electrics these are easy to fit and the mounting points and simple to do (ie fit the brackets and press in the base unit). Look relatively well made and connections all good. Good value item and brighter than expected.
