It works well and I'm very happy with the results! **Q: For rugs, do you have to brush the product on the entire back, or will it be sufficient to brush the 4 corners only?** A: I put it on the entire surface because if you only put it on the corners, it could still easily slip around on the floor. wherever your foot lands on the rug, if there isn't any skid protection there, it will be as though you didn't put any on the rug at all. Also, you probably will want to put on 2 or 3 coats, letting each coat dry before applying the next. it works great on the rugs I've used it on. **Q: What is this product made from?** A: Call Environmental Technology (707) 443-9323 - see their web site http://eti-usa.com/contact/ **Q: Can this product be painted black and still work?** A: I would not think so but it does dry clear so you dont really see it. Goes on white- dries clear. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very effective. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 17 February 2026* This stuff is really great. I would experiment with just doing one coat as I have found this to be plenty, especially if you have applied it liberally. It smells pretty bad when you're putting it on, but it really does the trick, and adds a bit of weight to your project which can also help. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked well for sealing disintegrating carpet backing *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 15 October 2025* The loose carpets in our motorhome (RV) kept shedding the original backing, leaving lots of gritty dust. After removing all dust, I gave each carpet backing two coats of the Bamboo Fibre-Lok, working it well in with a brush. It has worked very well as a sealer and also helps keep the carpets in place. Yes, it is a bit smelly so best used outdoors, the smell soon goes. I found it doesn't cover as much as the manufacturer claims so be sure to buy a little more. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked ok. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 25 May 2021* Good item. Worked well. Please use in a very well ventilated area as a very strong smell of chemicals. ## Frequently Bought Together - Environmental Technology 00876 16-Ounce Fiber-Lok Non Skid Backing - Pro Grade Paint Brush Set - 3-Pack - 2" Angle Brushes for All Latex and Oil Paints & Stains - Home Improvement - Interior & Exterior Use - Pro Grade, Paint Brushes, 5-Piece, Paint Brush Set: Flat & Angle Brushes for Latex and Oil Paints, Stains, Interior & Exterior Home Improvement --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/50897932-environmental-bamboo-fiber-lok-non-skid-rug-backing-16-oz](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/50897932-environmental-bamboo-fiber-lok-non-skid-rug-backing-16-oz) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
