A SIX DAY DRAMA THAT SHOCKED THE WORLD THIS FEATURE LENGTH DOCUMENTARY CONTAINS THE ULTIMATE REALITY COVERT FOOTAGE, RECORDED AT THE TIME, WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN REVELED ON SCREEN BEFORE On the 30th April, 1980, the curtains went up on the opening act of a six-day drama, which was broadcast live on national television across the world. When terrorists holding Iraqi passports, seized the Iranian Embassy in Prince s Gate, London, taking 26 people including four British citizens, hostage, so began the drama of the IRANIAN EMBASSY SIEGE which resulted in the final act of the legendary SAS storming the building. For the first time, this 90 minute feature-length documentary, takes you behind-the-scenes and into the front-line of one of the most spectacular rescue operations ever filmed. Our story is told by those actually involved, the SAS, the hostages, the negotiators and with exclusive covert footage filmed at the time; this is the ULTIMATE REALITY TV production.

OK, but not as good as expected
This was one of those news stories that I vaguely remember and this seemed like the documentary to revisit the event and have a glimpse at what our special forces were getting up to.The information was a bit patchy and for a documentary I expected a more comprehensive picture. Some of the interviews were very good, especially the policeman in the embassy, but on the whole not that impressive. It felt that a few pieces of information had been thrown together but without a great deal of though. The synopsis of this title makes it sound like it is delivering a whole lot more than was presented. I was fairly sure that the video footage was nothing that had not been previously shown on TV and it falls a long way of being 'ultimate reality TV'. The scale of the story keeps you watching, but you cannot help feeling that the makers of this documentary were not the best people to be compiling it - it could have been a lot better.Promises a great deal, but fails to deliver.

Iranian Embassy Siege - Directed by Robert Garofalo
This one directed by Robert Garofalo is by far the worst documentery I have seen on the SAS embassy siege. Itlooks like it was directed in someones front living room. It looks cheap and poorly shot featuring interviewsby 2 hosteges and one SAS solidar. The best one out there was done by BBC and written by Peter Taylor in 2002,it features excellent footage and proper interviews with many hosteges and SAS soliders and it runs for about2 hours. I think it was called 'six days that shook britain". Avoid this one by Robert Garofalo.
