Long compression socks to aid with muscle fatigue and recovery from exercise
This pair of compression socks were the medium size, and it is not mentioned what size foot this is for on the listing. Yet on the packaging and on the socks it says M - size 6-9 EUR 39-43 so that suited me.They are a good length and come right up to the knee, and the packaging reminds you not to roll or fold over the tops as that increases the pressure exerted.I walk 6 to 7 miles at a fast pace across the local hills every day and wore these on a walk. They do feel quite snug over my calves - ex-cyclist - but were not uncomfortably so. As a walking sock they are a little thin and I used a second pair of normal socks in my boots. After the walk I felt a little less aches in my legs, and I was less tired in the muscles right after my walks so they must be doing some good. I think I'm more likely to use them on days when I feel that I will need the extra support rather than everyday.Machine washed them at 30C and they come up like new.For the price of £19.99, I think they are quite expensive, certainly more than other walking socks where I might get four or five pairs for that. For reference the package lists the sizing as followsS - UK 3-6, EU 35-39M - UK 6-9, EU 39-43L - UK 9-112, EU 43-47

Good socks but a premium price.
I do a daily workout on my treadmill and these socks promise to help reduce muscle fatigue and to speed up recovery. Both of those things would be very welcome but also, because they are compression socks, they should help with air travel. When I fly iiI do start to feel swelling in my lower legs and feet, which becomes uncomfortable so that I end up taking my shoes off for relief. These socks should give the necessary compression to alleviate that problem by preventing the build up of fluid in the lower leg and foot. They feel comfortable when being worn, being firm but not too constrictive as to be obtrusive. I do like the length which is right up to the knee. Any seams are very minimal but I do question the need for the pattern on the foot area which results in a lot of excess threads on the inside of the of the sock. I feel that the less bulk on the inside then the less chance of irritation. The socks have a fairly open mesh structure which will help to dissipate both heat and moisture. In use, on the treadmill, the socks were good in that they just sat on my legs without drawing attention to themselves. I can't bear clothes that constantly remind me that I am wearing them, I much prefer to put something on and then be able to forget that I am wearing it. I will have to wait a little longer for a plane journey but I am confident, from their feel, that they will help. One negative for these socks is the price. I feel that £19.99 for one pair is right at the top end. However, if they make things more comfortable for you in sport and possibly air travel as well, then they may be worth the premium price.

Look well produced but unpleasant to wear
I’m not happy with these socks. Compression socks seem to be mostly associated with long flights and some medical reasons like after operations. These particularly ones are aimed at sports people to help with aching muscles and recovery.I asked a family member for her impression of these. She is used to wearing compression socks on flights and long journeys, which she finds beneficial. Overall she didn’t like them.Firstly the positives - Whilst all compression socks take a bit of effort to get on these, these were not harder than others. There are lots of health warnings on the packaging so read carefully.Unfortunately, after a while these did feel very uncomfortable. Maybe this was partly because exercise wasn’t being done at the time. They quickly felt very tight, were taken off and her legs ached for a while afterwards. We checked sizing which was a medium. The person trying them out was only a size 5, and this is seen as ‘small’. The sizing seems all wrong. These socks are made of quality fabric and appear well designed, and may work well for some people. Unfortunately due to her experience, I am not happy with these and cannot recommend them because they were extremely uncomfortable.
