My second phone with a Speck case, the first saved my phone so many times I lost count
The Samsung S23 Ultra has a problem. It's large, heavy, and as slippery as a bar of wet soap, so you are almost guaranteed to drop it if you don't take that gorgeous phone and put it into some sort of grippy protective case. Ironic, I know. But now comes a moment of inflection. Do you want so much protection that your phone is safe....but looks like an industrial brick? Do you want something that will save you from minor scuffs and scratches but probably won't do much if you drop your phone? Or do you want something in between? If you want something in between, the Speck Presidio 2 is the case for you, with these features -- good reference for any case: 1) Reinforced corners -- the part of the phone most likely to have impact 2) Reinforced sides -- a good case has some flex on the inside, but is rigid all around the edges. Many cases have rigid parts, but not around the entire exterior. 3) Has a good grip 4) Fits snugly so nothing will jiggle out of place if the phone is dropped 5) Is slightly elevated around both the screen and the camera lenses The Speck ticks all these boxes. It does NOT give you a screen or lens protector, but I prefer these to be separate so they can be replaced separately from the case if need be. FYI, this is my second Speck case. The first one protected my old LG G8 for 4 years. That phone got dropped and banged many times, and the Speck saved its life an equal number of times. I trust the Speck case because I've used a Speck case. Now is protection guaranteed for every drop? Of course not, but this is, on the whole, a great case. And it will leave your S23 Ultra still looking sleek.

Nice balance of features - ignore the mediocre reviews.
I'm honestly not sure why this case has some mediocre reviews - it's one of the nicest cases of this type that I've owned - and I've had every generation of Note/Ultra since the Note 5. Its not super thick, but offers plenty of protection on all sides. There is enough of a "lip" around all sides of the front that you should be ok if you drop the case screen down. I love the grippy ridges on the side, and the material feels really upscale. It does accumulate some fingerprints and I would have liked a bit more coverage for the camera, but those are minor concerns. The only way this case could be seriously improved would be if Speck offered a free holster. Another big issue, to me, is the case is quite expensive for what you get. I'm loving the case, but its definitely on the high end of the price range. Anyway, if you don't care about cost, a big thumbs up from me. Edit: just to follow up on some of complaints here - the main issue is that the back of the car is now flat in the center with ridges that fold in instead of out. That's not because Speck is cheaping out - it allows Qi charging. The case needs to have a flat surface to make a proper bond with a qi pad. This is a feature folks, not a limitation. Quality case - one of the best available for the Ultra 23.

Affordable upgrade
I wish it had a magsafe ring, then it would be the perfect case for me. Some people in reviews commented it made their phone slippery compared to previous cases. This is my first speck case, and it was super affordable. Not sure how it compares to previous speck cases, but compared to my previous spigen case it feels more protective and easier to grip. Dark blue is a nice color as well

Thin, grippy, and functional
I love this case. It's not bulky, So it goes in and out of my pocket MUCH more easily than the original expensive case I had. It's nice and grippy, too. I've dropped the phone a number of times since buying it and no damage to the phone.

Great Case
My wife has used the Speck cases for years, so I finally decided to give it a try. Since I have received it, I dropped my phone a couple of times, and it just bounced, with no issues with the phone or case. I definitely recommend this case

LOVE THE CASE...HATE COLOR SELECTION!
I cannot say enough good things about Speck phone cases. I have used them for years on all my phones and they have helped my phone survive some spectacular fumbles and drops. They feel secure in your hands due to the unique ribbed soft surface. Great product! BUT MY ONLY QUESTION IS WHY DO I HAVE TO PICK FROM THE THREE DREARY COLORS AVAILABLE? There are some of us out here who would love to have a phone that DOES NOT blend into the scenery! What would it hurt to have a nice vibrant RED...with white ribs that could be spotted easily on a cluttered surface? Something cheerful as well as dignified. I purchased a new Samsung Ultra 23 a month ago to replace my older Ultra. The older phone had a Speck case in white with black ribs...the case with the most contrast I could find. For the new one I decided to go red. I found one with good reviews and many of the same design, safety & drop features of the Speck. Beautiful case, really sturdy, easy to find when I put it down. I used it for about a month and really enjoyed the bright cheerful color. Sadly, when you buy a phone this expensive, you want the most protection you can provide...and that to me means Speck. I've seen first hand the protection it provides. So now I am the resentful (not proud or happy) owner of dull blue Speck case. Come on now guys...can you not provide at least one bright color? I have given my sturdy valued dreary Speck case 4 stars...because every time I have to hunt it, I can't help but think about that cheerful red case!

I have always used and recommended these cases, but...
Ribs are not rubber any more. The case will hold up better and last longer, but it slips off surfaces my old phone wouldn't and doesn't stay leaning against things as well either. The ribs are less grippy, but they are still good for helping you hold onto it. The whole case is harder and less flexible than the older speck grip cases. Installing the case on my phone is more difficult than the older cases. I am satisfied with the case. I haven't dropped it yet though...

Robust, solid and pretty good grip. This is my third Speck Presidio case and it absolutely delivers.
