Once I had adjusted the ear buds to give a comfortable fit I tried these out using the sound of a passenger jet playing from my computer in the background. Rresult? useless! they were as effective as my £3.00 e-bay cheapo's at keeping the sound out. to test them they do have a active noise cancelling On/Off switch so I tried this while listening.There was absolutely no difference in outside noise intrusion whether it was switched on or off.
