Used these coals to replace existing 'old ones'. These not only massively improved the appearance of the living flame fire ( whether alight or not )but now they have been used almost every day since purchasing, and 'burn' perfectly. Very pleased we did replace the old coals with these. Very happy with this purchase.

Coals are quite chunky and look realistic enough in our gas fire. I noticed a smoke released from the coals when first lit. I couldn’t smell anything so presume this was a residue burning off on first use. I would appreciate a comment from the Seller or other users if this shouldn’t have happened.

Eventually, coal replacement a MUST for gas fires and so far so good for these. The manufacturers of Gas Fires seem to stipulate coal replacement is of their brand only. Since our fire is now obsolete and coals no longer available, I have looked long and hard at the difference between the coals and their layout and I cannot see any obvious difference. These coals are just dandy.

We used these coals for our coal effect gas fire and they worked very well giving a lovely authentic looking coal fire.

These coals are good quality and you can definitely feel the difference in heat produced by your fire. I bought one pack of these large ones and a pack of medium ones. There wasn't quite enough to fill the fire grate so I mixed them up with the better quality old ones. I would say you definitely need at least 3 packs to fill your fire grate. Also, they are all very square. They would be better with a more haphazard shape. Therefore 4 stars.
