Padded Chest & Sleeve Ironing Boards – Lightweight, Rugged, Portable, On-The-Go Ironing Boards (Sleeve Ironing Board)

My wife has had two sleeve ironing boards in the past. We got rid of them because they were difficult to work with and were flimsy. After she took a pants making class at a local JC, we ended up needing one and I thought I would toss the dice on this one. It seemed well made (it is) and at $50 I expected it would be better than the others we have owned. We are not disappointed! Its high quality and very stable making intricate ironing easy and my wife is thrilled!

This ironing board is so convenient for my dress shirts and blazers. I have always wanted to get the perfect sleeve and with this I don't feel like I always have to send my shirts to the dry cleaners. It makes ironing sleeves EASY!

I bought this to replace a very old sleeve ironing board that I'd used for at least two, maybe three decades when the MDF board finally broke. It's been years since I had to buy a sewing tool such as this but I realized I didn't need one that folded down flat for storage like my old one as I rarely ever needed to fold it flat to store. If you know, you know! This appeared to be sturdier than my old one and I liked that it had two board arms instead of just one. I'm glad I read the reviews because by the time this was delivered (nearly a week later) I'd forgotten about a review I'd read cautioning buyers to remove the padding tape obscured under the board covers before you used the sleeve board for the first time. The board was sent as is just shrink wrapped in plastic with a label affixed to it. It didn't bother me that it didn't come in a box, however when I flipped it around to pull the plastic off, I saw the tape peeking out at the ends under the cover and remembered the earlier review! I've taken pictures to help folks out, but it's going to take about ten minutes to pull the covers off, wrestle off the tape, smooth down the padding, and replace the covers while keeping the padding where it needs to be. I guess if you only used steam heat with this board and your garment or sewing item, it might not be an issue to just leave the tape on, but I use my sleeve ironing boards for more than just sleeves and am sure other sewers out there are the same as me. Seems sturdy enough. I somehow thought the sleeve boards would be cast aluminum as well but they are layered MDF board. Oh well, I had the last one for so long, I expect this one to last me for the rest of my lifetime!

I have been wanting and needing one of these boards for a long time. I chose this one because it has two different sizes. I have yet to use the larger size so I kept the plastic on it. It works great and perfect for ironing down seams when purse making. I didn't give it 5 stars because of the smell when I iron. It is getting better and hopefully the smell will be gone soon.

This item arrived on time and in good condition in a box. It is sturdy but not too heavy and stays in place on my ironing board. I like the sturdy aluminum frame. Nicely padded. It's the first one I ever owned and now I wonder how I managed for 50 years without one. I think it's well worth the price and I would recommend it highly for people who make or alter clothes.

better than what I was expecting

I am very happy with the results of this sleeve ironing board, I am sure if you don’t like your dress shirts creased down the sleeves you will enjoy the ease of use with this product. ** the board has 2 options for size on each end so small clothing or larger clothing is iron ready

Wish I had gotten this years ago! I am not as strong as I used to be, so when sewing and just need to press a little seam allowance open, it is so much easier to use this little board rather than wrestle my big ironing board to set it up. Nor does it take up the floor space. To be sure the table is protected, I set my iron on a little square silicone cake pan which is good to 500 degrees. I can think of no drawbacks to this handy little board.

I love it. It works really good when ironing sleeves and other narrow areas on a garment and for pressing seams open on narrow areas of a garment when sewing
