Q: I just recieved my antenna and the adaptor wire is separtated from the connector. How do I get a replacement?

Usually, the connector must be soldered to the cable. It is often left off to make it easier to route the cab le.

Q: What screw-in end type is on the antenna?

The answer depends on the antenna you order. The base/mobile antenna has a PL-259 (plug) that mates to the SO-239 (socket) on the radio. The handheld antennas have either male SMA or female SMA connectors, depending on the selection you make when ordering.

Q: How does this compare to the 771 for best reception?

I’d say a bit better but not worth the extra size and having to extend and take it down, don’t transmit with it folded up bc it’s got a high swr miklor had it at like 7.1
