My new favorite!
I was buying a different brand of cold brew vanilla coffee and I ran out. I ordered some of my usual but it was going to take two weeks to get to me for some reason! So I ordered this one overnight and now I’m hooked. The flavor is so much better than the other one I was drinking. It’s a rich vanilla flavor where the other one is almost non existent. It’s also basically the same price but I feel like this one is slightly stronger so I don’t need to use as much. I usually do 4-5 scoops of my other one and this one I can do 3-4 scoops and it’s somehow stronger. Amazing, hands down. If you were on the fence, don’t hesitate to buy this!

Over The Top Quality
I use a French Press to make my coffee and lately I've been bouncing around looking for something that is of quality and price. I guess I could use regular ground and deal with the press and once even wound up with a can of coffee from a store that was delivered to me by mistake and was told to keep it. That was an espresso ground that is so fine don't even bother with a press. So my package was delivered today and even if I wanted to take off a point for it not being in a resealable package I would still give it 5 stars. I use 1/4 cup to a 20 oz. measure of water. My Amazon Basics electric kettle brings the water to a boil, but doesn't keep boiling the water. Within 5 minutes of being in the press this aroma just permeates my house and made me want to pour right away, but I usually give my coffee 10 minutes in the press. The real test of coffee to me is taste it black and this didn't disappoint. Not a killer dark roast that will knock you on your butt, but enough strength with still being smooth.I have an air tight container that holds the coffee and will probably try out the cold brew recipe at some point as well.I don't review everything I purchase from Amazon. It has to either impress me or disappoint me.

Great Customer Service and even better Cold Brew
Update:The Cold Brew Lab reached out to me via email apologizing for the accident and sent me a brand new one, even wanting the piece I found/bag to investigate further how this could have happened. Unfortunately, I threw out the piece and used the grounds to fertilize my plants (worked great for my plants). I tried out the brand new bag and it was great! I definitely recommended this coffee not just for the coffee but for the quick and polite customer service. This cold brew was smooth and well caffeinated. I had my coffee sit over night after I had taken out the grounds and I found that I liked it better that way, but just a suggestion if you are skeptical at first by the taste.Original:I was super excited to try out this coffee after just buying a cold brew infuser. As I was measuring out the coffee grounds I found a piece of plastic inside the grounds. With an odd tubing that’s red of some sort. It made me question the cleanliness of these grounds as grounds were stuck to this plastic and the plastic didn’t look the cleanest. I wanted to add more photos but the app only allowed me to attach one. I’m sure it’s an accident but nonetheless I cannot return this item.

Pretty Good Coffee
We tried ColdBrew Labs coffee at a friend’s house and liked it enough to buy our own.CBL has a good flavor and isn’t over complicated in its preparation. From the few times that we have had it at our friend’s house as well as the times we have made it at home it seems to be rather consistent from bag to bag.I don’t give a 5 star for value on money as I feel that all cold brew coffee costs more than it should due to hype or niche marketing since cold brew is essentially just a corse ground coffee that you steep rather than brew. This isn’t just CBL it’s all cold brew coffees. I do however give it 4 stars for money to value since CBL is one of the better priced and valued ones in my opinion. If you are a fan of cold brew or want to try tour hand at making tour own I would suggest this coffee. They do have other varieties and products as well on their full website. Some of those additional products are on amazon as well.

Bitter! Worst of 4 coffees in blind taste test.
This coffee is bitter when cold brewed.I did a head to head cold-brew-off with four coffees. (180 grams of grounds per 1.5 liter Mason jar, steeped for 18 hours at room temp in filtered water. I diluted the coffee with 2 parts water, then added milk and sweetener as I like it.)Cold Brew Labs Breakfast blend medium roast was eliminated for bitterness. I could have added a pinch of salt to bind the tongue's bitterness receptors, if I didn't have any other options, but this was a taste test.Stumptown Holler Mountain was eliminated for an unpleasant sweetness. (I think this is a flavor a lot of coffee lovers enjoy, I just don't personally.)My favorites were Stone Street Cold Brew Dark roast and, oh I'm basic, Starbucks Pike Place medium roast. So no to Cold Brew Labs, too bitter.

Good coffee for cold brew
I'd rate this particular cold brew coffee in the middle of the pack for the ones I've tried thus far (among the 8 or so that are most popular results searching here on Amazon). Good enough that I've put it on regular rotation, but not so much that I keep it consistently available (I have multiple carafes brewing always).I did dock a star on freshness because of my first two orders of this coffee, the second one came with the package open and spilling in the shipping box. I salvaged most of the coffee in a ziploc bag. But they need to make sure the bags are better sealed. It had burst at one of the normal closure seams. Also, these bags don't come with a built-in twist-tie style closure mechanism, and don't really stand on their own in a pantry very well, either. Not knocks against the coffee itself, but does slightly impact the convenience of storing and using the coffee. Will I order again? Yep. For the time being, it is on my regular rotation, but not with the frequency of my favorites.
