I have a spectrum of Angel fragrances... There are two that smell more like Mugler Angel and two that, I've read, lean more to the masculine side. I never smelled A-man, but i can see why people go nuts for the line. I have a love-hate relationship with Angel. My mom wore it, and at the time I thought she was crazy for doing so. I'm kind of obsessed with Angel now, but I still can't decide if i really like it all that much. I keep smelling it because doing so brings a sort of confusion I don't normally experience. Fortunately for this review, the masculine line must have been god-tier. Star Man Nebula is sort of reconstruction of Pure Malt, A-Men's boozier counterpart. Plenty of dark, whiskey notes here. I smell dark cedar-y notes, like the inside of my humidor. Cigars in a humidor can really smell earthy and there's clearly patchouli here giving some of those earthy notes. The trick with Angel is that the patchouli actually smells quite like chocolate and there may be that same trick here.. Coffee.. Basically, this bottle smells like my kitchen after a long night. So good. I don't know how anyone, male or female, wouldn't find this appealing. Bear in mind, I never got my nose on any of the A-men line. But I will wear this again and again. Sillage is okay. Longevity is moderate at best.. Not really a top performer in this regard, but the price makes that acceptible. Within 3 or so hours it is really a skin-scent. That said, i still think this is a no-brainer night out fragrance. I could see this sitting next to a bottle of Versace L'Homme or Azzaro Pour Homme and that person would have all they need for 50 bucks. It's really amazing what 20 bucks can get you these days.

Star Men Nebula is one of my absolute favorite manly man scents. It has the perfect blend of spices and booze and amber warmth. My first smell of this was new and familiar all at the same time, it reminded me of Bay Rum but with Whiskey in instead of rum. The projection of moderate but the fragrance let's itself be known. This is a special occasions scent that you want people to know it's you wearing that with pride. AMAZING!

Great quality fragrance. Distinguished but still pleasant. Last for a good 6 to 8 hours. Decent projection. With my 60 plus bottles of cologne I'm not quite sure if it's distinguished enough for me to replace it if I ever get through this one. But is definitely quality.

The key takeaway is that this current version is a generic tobacco/amber/dark vanilla scent that is a mature, masculine, evening, winter scent, must buy at this price if that pleases you. If it works for you then you will be happy with the value, hard to not give it a shot if the tobacco/woody/vanilla clones all work great on you!! I would have liked to smell some of the older version of this that may have gotten closer to Pure Malt. However, I no longer have that either to do a direct comparison so I am going off of memory. For me it is in the park of trying to hit at a generic Tom Ford Tabacco take, not the actual Tom Ford version... the already discount store version. Not bad at all if that scent is great on you, then you likely will like this one too. I'm just not smelling any of the boozey malt coming through on this version that I remember, but the tobacco comes through and stays for a good 4 hours.

Very good smell. You have to like these types of smell to enjoy it. It last like 8 to 10 hours most of the time. Its very boozy and sweet. Perfect to wear in the cold, or at night. The bottle is little weird shaped. This is one of the few ways to get smell of Angel Man Pure Malt that its replicating. That is a discontinued fragrance thats why. So if you dont want to spend big bucks buying the original buy this one Its affordable and performs great.
