Best coat i’ve ever bought, my dog looks getting mucky and wet but also hates it because it makes him cold. This coat keeps him warm AND DRY! It’s a godsend, normally i have to apply waterproofing spray on coats i buy him but i don’t even need to!! Nice and comfy on him too Definitely buy!! It’s really thick, fits him perfectly and has lasted us a good few months already. I’ve never found a coat so perfect (he also looks very handsome in it)

I would recommend this item , it is easy to put on and take off. It doesn’t restrict movement . I had occasion to wash the chest area , which got muddy. Hand soap and warm water cleaned it off like new. It would be nice if the back leg fastening was similar to the chest, that is, made of soft material and fixed with valcro , instead of wide elastic. It chafed my doggie because he has thin fur and exposed skin in this part of his body so I prefer not to use these . It has the advantage that I don’t have to lift his back leg to fit it , which might get mud on the nice soft lining material, if it’s wet and muddy where he has been walking. It does mean the coat is not quite straight, but it still does its job. I would still recommend this coat , it keeps my doggies nice and warm and dry. I bought the Hi-Viz , which is really handy at night ‘cos they have black coloured fur ! and it is very good value for money.

I purchased this because I occasionally foster dogs and the rescue organisation sometimes don't supply appropriate supporting gear (including leads, harness, and coats). The waterproof coats supplied this last time were too large, and don't permit a harness to be tied to a lead (unless the harness is put outside the coat, which negates the whole point of using a waterproof coat).The Ancol coat arrived within 24 hours. Below are ratings of the various aspects:Price: Unbelievable value, especially considering the quality (see below). For some reason, the Large was only £13.99, but most other sizes were about £22 (which is still good value).Quality: Well-made, good stitching. Not top-quality, but excellent for the cost. Not especially thick, but has warm thin fleece layer on the inside.Fit: A bit hit and miss. Daisy's (medium sized 20 kg lurcher cross-breed) measurements are 58 cm length, 66 cm chest. The Ancol Large size is stated to be 50 cm length, and up to 79 cm girth (which typically means waist, not chest). As expected, the coat is a little short in length, but not by a huge amount. Surprisingly, the straps barely stretched around her chest enough to fit..Putting onto the dog: A very convenient fit system. The coat has a head-hole, and this is connected to a chest panel that goes under the chest, and fastens via two straps that go upwards and Velcro together on the top of the upper back. Very easy to put on, and secure. There are two elastic straps that go around the dog's thighs to hold down the lower back section, but I haven't found a need to use these. Unless it's a really windy day, I don't think they will be necessary.Attaching harness and leads: There are two holes - one at the neck and one on the back, that allow leads to pass through and attach to the collar and to a harness, if worn under the coat. These are large enough for large buckles to pass through.Waterproofness: Not tested in a downpour yet, but seems to keep Daisy's back dry in regular rain. A little rain does pass through the hole on the back, but not much.Overall, especially if you are on a budget, I highly recommend this harness, though be aware it fits quite small. Daisy is really a small to medium dog, but even the Large size coat fits a bit small, and XL probably would be a better fit. Generally, all sizes are similarly priced, so definitely go up one size if in doubt.

This coat is superb. Better than any other I’ve owned before. So my little chaps old coat had fallen apart and the Velcro was no longer sticking so I went looking for a replacement. I came across this and based on the excellent reviews I ordered it. I’m so thrilled. It’s an excellent fit , I ordered medium for my Shih Tzu . I wanted one that was a little long to cover his tail and this is perfect. The measurements are exactly as advertised. The coat goes over his head and then the chest cover slips between the front legs and Velcro’s over the top. Then there are little Velcro straps that fit round the back legs. In fairness you wouldn’t necessarily have to use these but it does keep the coat central. If these did come off they would be easy to sew on some more. I found it really easy to put on him. There is a hole under the collar for a neck lead and a zipped hole lower down for use if your pooch wears a harness. It’s in exactly the right place for a harness as that’s what we use. I absolutely love the fact that the Velcro waist strap is on top of the dog. Much easier to secure and it doesn’t get all muddy and full of grass and twigs. I also love the chest cover as it keeps most of the tummy clean. This only arrived today and as luck would have it it was throwing it down with rain when we went for his afternoon walk. My little lad stayed dry and much cleaner than he would have done so no bath needed when we got home ( one very happy dog) .I just gave him a wipe down on his legs. I gave the coat a wipe down too and that’s all it needed . It can be washed on a cool wash if required. The coat is fleece lined so will be fab in the winter. I’ve inspected the stitching and the way it’s been put together and it’s very well made and I can’t see any potential weaknesses. The highlight edging will be great in the winter too for making him more visible in the dark. I really cant find fault with this coat and I’m so pleased I ordered it. I will be telling all my friends so they can kit out their pooches too.

I ordered this for my elderly border collie. He’s long haired and needed a coat to prevent him getting soaked through on his walks. I had ordered a coat some time ago and returned it because despite measuring it was too short, not covering his back end adequately. This, on the other hand fits perfectly, plenty long enough in length giving plenty of coverage to his back end and the rear leg straps prevent it moving about. The style and of the coat gives coverage to his chest and under carriage. It’s easy to put on and fasten up. Although navy isn’t the obvious choice for visibility at night the coat has high viz stripes.He’s worn it out in rain and it’s kept him dry, just his face and legs to towel dry now. I’ve not washed it yet so can’t comment on how it performs after a wash.I would recommend this coat for all the reasons above but mainly because of the length.

I have bought 2 of these costs recently for my boxer girls. They are well made but I have yet to see if they survive the boxer test which is pretty tough. A different Ancol jacket only lasted 4 months!! Usually if anything "goes" the stud fastening used to hold the elastic come off but that's not too bad as most dogs don't like the elastic anyway.The reflective tape around the coat shows up really well in the dark and is a nice trim during the day.The waterproof outer is great and if a little mud should get on it a quick wipe with a damp cloth works well. The fleece inside is lovely and warm on those chilly days so the combo is really good.The jacket is very easy to put on, over the head and the chest strap goes between the front legs and then Velcro over the back.My one issue is with the sizing of these jackets. I measured both of my girls and they were both size XL. Now one jacket fitted perfectly, on my more muscular girl, she's bigger around the shoulders. However on my other girl I would have been better getting a size smaller probably but then the coat would have been too short. The issue is in the sizing around the shoulders, if the dog is big enough the jacket is fine. If however your dog is long enough in the back but finer in the shoulders the head hole slides down the back and the coat is too long. My solution was to just catch the neck hole with a couple of stitches to make the hole smaller and stop the coat sliding down but not everyone wants to do that. This would not be the jacket for a long backed, broad chested, narrow waisted dogs, as the jackets get bigger so do the waist bands( no measurements given).

I bought the XXL for my mixed breed rescue who is 31kg and perhaps just a little smaller than a GSD. Overall, I quite like this coat. In most ways it seems quite good quality, although probably too warm to use in the warmer wet weather. The length is perfect. I was a bit concerned about the girth, but the strap wraps around with enough available Velcro to give a nice snug fit. I love this fitting method as the Velcro straps are on top and protected from the worst conditions and are still gripping very well. It gives an element of protection from wet and dirt to the chest, which is good. However, there are couple of issues which make it hard to recommend, but which could be rectified with some design changes. If this were to happen then I probably would by another one. The issues...1) The leg straps are made of pretty thin and poor quality elastic and these hoop through even thinner and worse quality elastic fittings. It doesn't take long for the wet weather to cause this elastic to deteriorate. I have had to try and repair it several times already and next time will probably need replacing completely.2) The neck is just HUGE. Way too big for him. Combined with the lead opening being a little to far forward for his harness, this leads to the coat being pulled too far down his back leaving his neck fully exposed. It could to with allowing some adjustment for the neck opening. I have so far tried using pins and poppers, but the DIY approach just isn't strong enough. It could do with perhaps an adjustable drawer string or maybe 2 or 3 large toggle fastenings.Other than those issues, my only other wish would be for it to be available in a truly waterproof material, such as a PU coated polyester, so that the water runs off rather than soaks in.

Despite me returning item, due to being to big for my little dog, it’s a great coat. Good quality and nicely made. Will be ordering a smaller size

El abrigo está muy bien está forrado muy calentito para el invierno lo único es que el tallaje está mal las medidas que están en el cuadro no se corresponden yo compré la XL para mi perro que mide 50 cm desde el cuello hasta la cola y le queda justa justa me hubiera venido mejor la XXL

Bellissimo cappottino molto comodo e finalmente da la possibilità di far indossare al cane la pettorina sotto cosi che rimanga asciutta dato che c'è l apertura con la cerniera per far agganciare la pettorinaL'unica pecca forse sotto il collo che rimane un po tanto largo ma cucendolo si risolve.

Fatto molto bene, ben curato nei particolari. Morbidissimo e caldo. Impermeabile, tiene il nostro amico a quattro ampe asciutto e ben riparato dagli agenti atmosferici. Rapporto qualità/prezzo veramente ottima!!! Le taglie corrispondono alla descrizione.

We have 2 dogs. Dog number one coat fits like a glove. But dog number #2 is a bit awkward in her build, we had to go down a size as per the measurement guide. Dog #2 is very slim and extremely long in the body which meant if we followed the length guide then the entire jacket is too big as she is slim. By going down a size it meant that it fitted her body but was a bit short on the back. The coat is 100% waterproof, easy to put on, keeps them warm and dry. It also washes in the machine really well. The video is the downsized jacket. The pic is the jacket from following the guidelines which is a bit loose but fits her back length.

This is a lovely, beautifully made coat that fits my dog like a glove. She will be so warm this winter and protected from the rain.
