Can't really say, You can contact corsair on their website. I have installed these on my Macmini working fine

Is this memory kit compatible with macbook pro mid 2012? current is 1600mhz ddr3, 12800 204 pin.

I bought the same specification memory for my mid-12 MBP, and it works perfectly. 16Gb is the max RAM it can process, even though Apple say the max is 8Gb.

Does anyone know if there's much of a difference between 1333 and 1600 Mhz speeds? Would you be able to a see difference in Photoshop for example?

Speed differences are negligible. You definitely wouldn't notice any difference in Photoshop as PS is CPU intensive but not particularly RAM intensive. 1600MHz would be more useful for gamers due to slightly less latency
