CatGuru Premium Cat Food Mat, Silicone Feeding Mat for Food and Water Bowls

I bought two of these mats back in 2018 - one for the kitchen and one for our bedroom where our kitty likes to hang out. She can be a messy eater and sometimes plunks her toys in her water bowl or food bowl. This is common, I hear. Well, these washable, flexible mats are just what we needed. They keeps crumbs from getting on the floor, soggy soft toys from making and mess and best - if we accidentally bump the mat with a foot, it contains any spills. The mats are very easy to clean, nicely designed and are the right size for a a wet food, dry food bowl and a water bowl. We love them! Here we are in 2022 and these mats are still going strong with no nicks, tears or flaws. They have saved us from accidents when one of us inadvertently kicked over the food bowl that is on a platform for our cat's health and when we occasionally jostle the water bowl. These silicone mats are so easy to clean. We wash them with Veggie Wash (a food safe citrus cleaner for rinsing veg and fruits) and then rinse them right in the sink. Even stuck on food comes right off. Our cat likes to drown her soft sparkle balls and then drop them next to her food. Having the mat saves the mess of having a soggy soft cat toy on the floor. She likes to splash in her drinking water with her paw and having the mat keeps those splashes contained. I assumed we'd need new ones after a couple of years, but they show no sign of wear & tear. I have two cats, one of whom is notorious for dipping her paw into her water bowl and splashing it around before taking a drink. (I swear she is washing her paw! :) ) I bought this tray to go underneath the new water fountain we purchased in hopes it would cure her splashing. To our amazement, it has! This tray sits under the water fountain and easily catches any splashes that we make while filling up the water fountain or while the cats are drinking. Our cat has not splashed in the fountain, but there is enough of an edge to catch it if she was to suddenly resume her habit. The tray is SOLID! I feared that it might be a bit flimsy, but this thing is perfectly solid. It is heavy duty, but lightweight enough that I can hold it in one hand, keeping all the water inside the lip as I carry it to the sink to dump out. It does not wobble at all while being carried. It is a light gray color which is perfect! It looks really classy. . It washes off super easily with soap and water. The bottom of the tray has nice criss-cross grip to keep the tray from sliding all over the place. I love this tray so much that I think I'll get another one to put underneath the food dish!

I love this mat for my cats dishes. I'm so happy that after ordering 5 different ones I found one that works extremely well. I ordered the aqua/blue color in the largest size there was. I have 2 different dishes of 2 different kinds of dry food, and a large water dish. I wanted something that was a little larger so water and food would stop getting on my floor (he loves to paw his water before drinking it and likes to take his food outside his bowl), and I wanted something easy to clean and move. While silicone kitchen items can be nice, it can make it more difficult to pick up the entire mat with the dishes (if you need to). This one is fantastic! The value for what you get is great, the color I ordered is vibrant, the size is perfect, and the quality is wonderful. It is a hard mat that does not bend, so it makes carrying all his dishes to the sink extremely easy. It washes off nicely. If you have a smaller double sink like I do you will have to rinse/wash half of it first, then the other half (if you order the largest size one), because it is a nice large size. That doesn't bother me since it doesnt really take any longer. I've had this for a few months and there has been no fading or wear to it at all. I absolutely recommend this.

This does what I want it to do, keep food and water off my floor! It cleans easily and looks good. I own 3 cats and 3 mats in the lightest color, Marshmallow. I absolutely love this mat. I use one under their water fountain and alternate the other two for their feeding. I've seen a few reviews complaining about stains or difficulty in lifting it and carrying it to the sink when full of water, which I find to be no problem at all. Seriously, stains are NOT a problem if you just place it flat out in the dishwasher and run it through a short cycle or even a partial cycle with dishwasher soap. I find this the easiest way to clean it. I fill one rack of the dishwasher with dirty glasses, plates, etc, and lay out a dirty mat on the second rack, then run a short cycle, pull it out and it will be perfect. Sometimes I put it on the top rack and other times I put it on the bottom rack, depending on how dried onto the mat the food is. I often feed raw food, so the food and blood gets pretty nasty! If you choose to run it through a whole dishwashing cycle, even the drying cycle, that's no problem, either. Washing it this way leaves it with absolutely no food, no hair and no stains remaining, at all. Regarding it being hard to carry to the sink when full of water, it is a soft, silicone mat. It actually comes rolled up like a newspaper, so yeah, it would be hard to carry if full of water. When that happens I drop a washcloth onto it to sop up the water, then throw the washcloth into the laundry. It takes about 30 seconds-1 minute to make it easily and safely transportable to the sink.

My two adult male cats may be graceful in other areas, but when it comes to keeping food in the dish and water in the bowl, they tend to get messy. For some reason, they love to play with the water in the contantly running water fountain we got for them, and frequently, much water ends up outside of the receptacle, frequently mixing with the nuggets of food that somehow end up ejected outside of the nearby food dish. Thankfully, the Cat Guru mat keeps the mess contained to the immediate area, making it easier to clean up after. The mat is deep enough that the water spillage has yet to breach the edges, and soft enough that the cats don't mind laying across it while enjoying a lazy meal. It's easy to wipe down while it's on the floor, easy to pickup when it requires more attention, and easy to clean overall.

I know it’s just a mat, but it’s not it’s absolutely beautiful and well-made. Its very sturdy unlike some flimsy silicone. It’s a nice feature to have the raised edge to keep water/and or food spills at bay. ~ I love this beautiful color in Marshmallow. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Purchased over a year ago now. Has been used extensively by 2 cats. Still the original colour when I get around to cleaning and appears to be in good condition as well. It has been washed lots of times in the bathtub and air dried. Would highly recommend

We bought this to place underneath our water fountain for our cats to catch any drippy spills and to protect our floor. Serves its purpose and also looks pretty good!

Just as pictured, good size, the ridge catches all the spilled water my cat likes to play with so its saving my wood floor from being destroyed. I would have preferred the gray to blend into the floor a little more but the price difference was quite a lot. The blue is nice, looks clean and fresh.
