Great tough outer gilet. Warm lining, great for dog walking/gardening. Best gilet I have worn, better that the expensive gilets. Good pockets and zipped pockets. Very pleased. Good value for money. I bought the men’s sizing, as I like it loose. Permit fit as described.

I almost didn't buy this vest because of all the problems some seem to have had with the sizing. I'm a Carhartt fan and have various items from trousers, shorts, jackets, tee shirts etc. you get the idea. I'm a barrel chested man and I've always found XL fitted but I really wasn't sure if this vest would be too large. Well I needn't have worried because, like all the rest of my Carhartt stuff, XL fitted fine. The clue is in the name its "loose fit"! I have a Carhartt Arctic vest that is quilted inside and its meant to fit close to the body whereas this vest is meant to be loose fitting. Anyway mine fits great and I love it. Quality is almost guaranteed with Carhartt this is well made and will see me out. The only problem now is its May here in the UK so I won't get to wear it for at least another 5 months. But if you've had Carhartt before, I'd advise you to get your usual size and you should be OK. Highly recommended.

Order a size down, I'm a 40 inch chest and I ordered a medium, but its still a loose fit. Nice and warm though.
