I have gastroparesis and need protein snacks without whole or chunky nuts. This fits the bill: easily digestible, smooth texture, not overly sweet, 12 grams of protein and limited ingredients. Doesn’t spike my blood sugar and holds me over till dinner. Personally I love the PB&J and Doughnut flavors the best. PB&J has no jelly flavor, however, it has a slight peanut flavor and is lightly sweetened. The doughnut flavor is slightly nutty but does not even resemble the flavor of doughnuts! That said, this flavor is pleasingly nutty and lightly sweetened. Both have the same white “glaze” over the entire bar instead of chocolate, a welcome change. If I am sounding redundant, well, both bars are very similar in a great way! I tried the Fudgier Peanut Butter Tru-Bar and I found it a bit dry with a different nutty taste (not pleasant to me) than the PB&J bar. The chocolate coating was bland. If you’re looking for a bar with a real chocolate coating, this is not the bar for you, LOL! I find Tru-Bar a good value as they cost less per bar than other brands and are so convent to put in a jacket pocket, purse or backpack. Highly recommend!

I found this brand by accident and they have been my favorite ever since. I was having hot flashes every hour while hormones were re balancing and since the first day eating these I have never had one since! I eat protein bars because I am a vegetarian and try to get enough plant protein every day. I really like these because of the way that they make me feel. I have many food sensitivities that cause headaches, hives, and histamine intolerance, so finding out that these not only didn’t upset the sensitivities, but they improved my health by contributing to hormone balance, or at least getting rid of hot flashes, satisfying cravings With a healthier option, and I feel like it has added to my overall energy. Now some of the flavors are not my favorite, but I think it has to do with everyone’s personal preference. These are very chewy they kind of remind me of taffy in a way, they are soft and easy to chew unlike some protein bars that you know are very hard like the Costco brand, but these are soft, but very chewy I always need a glass of water after eating this or prior to it. My favorite flavor is get in my tummy, peanut butter and jelly, but I do like the donut flavor as well as I try to eat non-chocolate options just for personal flavor preference.

Love these bars. I’m gluten free and dairy free. The donuts are my favorite. I’m upset they went up 50 cents.

I’ve tried a lot of plant-based protein bars, and the TRUBAR Daydreaming About Donuts flavor is definitely one of the better ones! The texture is soft and chewy — not chalky like many vegan bars — and the flavor actually does remind me of a light, sweet donut without being overly sugary. I love that it’s gluten-free, dairy-free, non-GMO, and has no sugar alcohols (which upset my stomach with other bars). Plus, with 12g of protein and 12g of fiber, it’s really satisfying for an on-the-go snack or a light breakfast. My only knock is the price — it’s definitely on the higher end compared to similar bars. Also, if you're expecting a full "dessert-like" experience, it’s still more of a healthy snack than an indulgent treat. Overall, though, it’s a great option for anyone looking for clean ingredients, good taste, and a solid protein boost without the junk!

Absolutely love these! As someone who cannot eat meat due to health reasons I love that these give me protein! Plus it allows me to fool myself into thinking that I'm actually eating glazed donuts for breakfast! And honestly is as smooth as a donut when you bite into it. And tastes like an actual glazed donut! It's definitely hard to find protein bars like these and I will definitely keep ordering these. I believe I am on my fourth order! Cannot get enough. These are a must buy!

I've gotten these before and like them, but a few in the last batch were very off and inedible. Other than those they're pretty good

The glazed donut flavor is my absolute favorite; in fact, it's the only flavor I will eat. Even my kids like these bars, and they're super picky! If anyone is familiar with the old school candy "cow tails" it tastes a lot like that to me in the glazed donut flavor! I also appreciate the cleaner ingredients in this brand, they used to sell them at Costco but stopped carrying this flavor so Amazon is now my go to - the price with subscribe and save is actually very reasonable. I've had these on order at least a year and I have never had a bad pack, theyre never dry always fresh! The protein content is a little less than other bars at 12g, but so is the calorie content.

I never have liked the taste of protein bars. But having a quick protein option when you have blood sugar concerns is really important to have on hand. The quality of these are fantastic. Overall they are healthier than may options out there. They are more of a rectangular shape than a big bar, so taking them with you is easy - or throwing some in the car (not on really hot days) makes them very portable. Not the cheapest, but in my opinion given the excellent flavor, the good texture, easy on the GI makes it worth it. I gave it 4 stars only because all protein products are overpriced in my opinion.

I love these! I’m allergic to peanuts and whey isolate so finding a yummy protein bar is hard for me! These are delicious and have a lovely nougat texture! Have bought these and other flavors many times!! Highly recommend!

Quality product

Quality has definitely gone downhill. I used to buy these religiously but the last few bars have been awful. And this is across the board, not just on Amazon. I ordered one box this week and the bars tasted like nail polish. Had a similar taste with bars I purchased elsewhere a couple of months ago. I don't know what happened because they used to be excellent but it's not worth the money anymore.

The taste is ok, still, not the same as an actual donut. I wish it were higher in protein. The texture is gummy/stodgy, if the flavour wasn't as ok as it is, this would be an absolute deal breaker for me.

This Daydreaming about donuts flavour was a bit bland. So far it’s the only one I wouldn’t eat again.
