Uvexpolarized sports sunglasses for cycling/running with UV protection, for women & men, sportstyle 233 P

I'm very happy with these glasses . After maybe 30 pairs I finally settled down the uvex. Known for their skiing goggles, these glasses are excellent. They block the wind for one. They are a pinch dark for evening riding but I got the red lenses which are excellent in bright sunshine and are comfortable lightweight and relatively inexpensive. I like them so much and I wanted a lighter lens I bought the photochromatic ones as well which are arriving soon.

This is a really nice looking, simple pair of sports sunglasses that work well for me (and my wife when she borrows them).A moment on the construction. They are entirely plastic and weigh next to nothing. That's a good thing for long days in the hot sun. The temple plastic is translucent gray/black and at the temple tips, the part that touches your head is covered with grippy rubber. The bridge does not have any adjustment possible -- the part that sits on your nose is just molded plastic. For me, they sit just fine, and the fact that they are so light means I don't feel like they are constantly slipping down. Again, I think this is a nice set up for long-distance exercise where weight and comfort matter a great deal.The lenses themselves do a good job. While they are reflective blue for those looking from the outside in, for the wearer, they give the world around a smokier gray color. They don't create hyper intense colors like some lenses, but that's the way I like it anyway. I want sun protection without major color distortion. But that's a matter of personal preference.They come with a very simple slip case. It won't offer much protection if you throw them in a bag, so if you want to make them last longer, you may wish to purchase a hard case. But other than that, I'm very pleased with these and look forward to the return of summer when we will get to use them more regularly.

I have always equated Uvex to goggles and safety glasses, but this is a foray into sunglasses and polarized lenses no less. Typical to Uvex, though, these resemble more safety glasses as the frames aren’t exceptionally stylish and are semi-translucent. The lenses are decent and polarized, and the overall design isn’t ugly. Does fit tight to the face though as my cheeks with smiling touch the bottom of the lenses. UVEX is a leading brand manufacturer in Europe and is well respected for the quality of their craftsmanship.These polarized sunglasses are extraordinarily lightweight because of the wraparound plastic frames but the lenses are high quality. Just careful when cleaning the lenses with the supplied soft cover bag, especially the inner side of the red-tinted coated lenses as the inner lens is most susceptible to peeling as it is with the majority of tinted sunglasses.At $60 or $50, depending the current sale price at the Amazon website, these polarized sunglasses won’t break the bank. You are basically paying for the high quality German-made lenses that come with a very lightweight plastic wraparound frame (the plastic frame is made in Taiwan).Red-tinted lenses improve contrast and clarity for sunglasses and is favored for outdoor activities in bright sunlight. The inside of the red-tinted-lens is sort of a greenish-gray or gray-greenish depending on how you view them. It is definitely not a smoke gray which reduces contrast and clarity.I have a medium to large facial profile and these sunglasses fit as expected. Just remember that wraparound sunglasses are more of a close fit to your face than the standard rectangular-shaped “black sunglasses”.I highly recommend these red-tinted, polarized, wraparound sunglasses with German-made high quality lenses by UVEX!

Let's lots of light through like I wanted, so not too dark. The surface coating is a bit flaky after lots of use, but great for the money

Die Brille an sich gefällt mir gut. Passt gut und die Optik passt für mich auch. Leider löst sich nach jetzt etwa 2 monatigem Gebrauch ein Teil der Beschichtungen der Gläser ab. Würde ich nicht mehr kaufen.
