ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Plus Carpet Cleaner, 3588F

We are very impressed with this machine. Easy assembly, easy to use, and very easy to clean the machine after use. I cleaned four area rugs and one wall to wall rug in a short amount of time. All the rugs came out looking brand new. The wall to wall rug and one of the area rugs are smart fiber rugs so I expected them to clean easily. The area smart fiber rug had some extremely heavy stains on it and the dog had urinated on all the corners. It looked so bad we were going to throw it out. We tried the machine on it and the stains are gone. The rug looks brand new. I used the regular formula and not the pet formula, which I suspect would have done an even better job. Two of the area rugs are circular and inexpensive rugs. The machine did not tear them up, which was a concern. The fourth area rug is a large, gorgeous, 40 year old, non-trafficked, very expensive wool rug. It has always looked great. It is regularly vacuumed, but has not been wet cleaned for at least 13 years. We can't believe how it looks now. It came out significantly brighter and looking brand new. Extremely impressed. Suction on the machine is excellent. At one point I started to lose suction and couldn't understand why, but then I noticed the dirty water was up to the float. The machine stops pulling in water when it reaches the float. The dirty water was so black we couldn't believe it. The suction on the machine is so good that the carpets were almost dry right after cleaning. Make sure to double vacuum your rug before cleaning. I feel that makes a big difference in the machine's performance. It's not a vacuum. I used two different Shark vacuums on each rug before cleaning and they pulled out a lot of fine dirt. Initially, when using the machine for the first time, I did a 'quick clean' on one of the area rugs to get used to it. After doing that I would recommend just going for the deep clean right away. I think the quick clean function is for refreshing the rug at a later date after it's been deep cleaned. My wife says it would have cost us at least $500 to have someone clean the amount of rugs that I cleaned so the machine has already more than paid for itself. Great value for the money. She is very happy with the results as am I.

I am very impressed. When I was younger I used to help my brother with commercial carpet cleaning. I was planning to rent a machine to clean multiple rugs in my home, but when I saw this product go on sale I decided to give it a try. It works phenomenally! I needed to have my carpets cleaned last year so it was way over due. I have two giant breed elderly dogs as well as cats. I’ll include photos although I am a little embarrassed about how dirty the rugs were. I thought they were just faded. No- just very dirty! So the only con is you have to dump the dirty water frequently and refill the clean water frequently. That is the trade off for having a light weight, easy to handle machine. The big commercial cleaner I used back in the day was enormous. This is made for household use and is very user friendly. It was easy to put together, taking no more than 5 minutes. I was able to carry it downstairs by myself. I did short pile rugs and very thick pile. The ease of use outweighs the con of having to frequently empty and fill the tanks. Also the prices of removing and filling the tanks is super easy. This machine has already paid for itself at my house. Definitely worth it!

This is a great carpet cleaner. We got this to replace another well-known brand that broke down on us and leaked water everywhere. This is a heavy machine, so be warned. It takes some effort to move it around when cleaning but it works well, so that's a tradeoff I'll take. It has multiple cleaning modes but for our carpet (a dog and a cat who rule the house) we typically use the heavy duty mode to get the muddy paw prints out. The cord length is sick. It's like 25' long so it'll go a long way before you have to unplug it and move the cord to another outlet. Assembly was a cinch. Hooked up and running in 10 minutes tops. Now for a few items that need clarification: I read a LOT of reviews on this thing and one thing that kept coming up is that this machine was "hard to clean" with some people darn near requiring a hospital visit because they were so angry at that. Bunk. Absolute bunk. The "cleaning" tool that comes with it is utter garbage, but as far as being able to clean it properly? Easy peasy. The whole front end cover comes off and can be hosed out or cleaned out with a simple bottle washer brush. It's infinitely easier to get the grim out of this thing than our last one and many other models I've seen. Cleaning the brushes/roller is also easy as it cleaning the tanks. Some people say it "shuts down" after three or more passes when trying to suck up the water? I don't know what planet they're on but we've run this in our house and even let our kid use it in the apartment she just moved out of--AND in the new one she moved into--and it never failed once and never quit sucking up the water. Some people were saying it's "wayyyyyyy too slow!" No, it's not. You're just not patient enough. This is a heated water cleaning device that only works if you allow it to do its job properly. Make a pass and spray with water and the cleaning agent, and then back it up SLOWLY to allow the machine to suck up the water. This isn't the Texas Two-Step. This is a solid consumer-level machine for home use. It's not a commercial cleaner that will suck the nails out of your sub-floor through the carpet. It was also great at removing old stains, so that was a major plus. There is one area where I may agree with but wasn't sticking around to test it out: The issue of leaving the machine running in one spot too long was reported to generate a "burning plastic smell." My daughter's boyfriend was trying it out and left it in one spot to move a piece of furniture and I could *hear* the machine's whine change pitch and knew it was not quite right. We didn't smell anything burning but I did have him move it and then shut it off before anything bad happened (then again, nothing may have happened). We're not using it on shag carpeting or flokati rugs and I would definitely NOT recommend it for that because that seems to be the area where people are saying it's burning out.

I've had a lot of shampooers over the years, and always had big dogs. Also a former bodybuilder. This shampooer is pretty bulky. Pros and Cons: Pros- -It does a pretty good job, but I used my own spot treatment. -Has a spot shot for spots -Suction is really good! -It disassembles easily for cleaning. -Comes with an invaluable cleaning tool! Don't lose it! -Great price on Prime Days deal! Cons: -Its awkward to use. In all fairness this was my first time using it though. -You have to fill the water tank with HOT water, but it does keep the water hot when using. -Does not do a good job on high traffic areas, even when pre treated. -Don't try to lift it when water tank is full! Very heavy -Does not have a rinse cycle. -Instead of having a dedicated cleaning solution reservoir, you have to add it to the water tank. -Its very awkward to target the spot shot to hit the spot you're aiming for. DO NOT TRY TO VACCUME THIN RUGS. It will suck it up! Tips: clean as directed after each use, or watch a video on it. Remove both clean and dirty tanks before lifting. Watch videos on YT, they really help! Vaccume REALLY well before shampooing. All in all it was a good purchase for us.

I have a carpet machine, but it clogs and doesn’t suck the water well, so I was thinking about renting a machine. However, it starts at $40 for one day. Given that I have cats and medium size dogs, I knew I would need more than a day and would need to do this every few months. I admit I had been slacking due to my old machine. I Googled carpet cleaners for pet and human hair that doesn’t clog the brush. Most of my results were for vacuums. (Dyson makes a great one and it is worth every penny!) This machine came up twice. The description says it even removes skunk orders. Terrific! My babies aren’t fully trained and have accidents. I came to Amazon and read reviews, both good and bad. The bad reviews seem to be mainly manufacturer defects. I know I can always return it with Amazon if it doesn’t work. Most of the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. I took a 1 a.m. gamble and it arrived at 2 p.m. Assembly was very easy. One screw and snap the rest on. I spent about an hour cleaning my bedroom and hall. Yes, you do have to empty the dirty water a couple of times per tank and a half of clean water. Not an issue, it’s very simple. The suction is awesome. Go slowly and over each area a few times. It leaves the carpet damp, not wet. It picks up dirt you didn’t know you had and tackles the dirt you do know about. The samples they send are great smelling (didn’t trigger a migraine! Bonus!), but they are good for one tank. I suggest buying more. Mine will be in 5-10 tonight. It was a mid morning after thought. Bottom line is buy it. Don’t put it off. Don’t second guess yourself. It is worth the cost. Cannot recommend enough!

Pros and cons. I want to first start off by. I do not have pet pets but I have human boys. I also want to say that I do not use cleaner in the machine. I put my cleaner in a 1 gallon pump sprayer with water and pre-spray to break down the dirt.I purchased the shampooer based on a professional shampooer that has a YouTube channel. It did not disappoint. Pros: cleans extremely fast, no effort in assembly or dumping water or filling up with water. The section power is the best I’ve ever used. Carpet is very clean and barely damp after shampooing. Cons: cord is extremely short will be a problem if you don’t have multiple outlets. The clean water tank and the dirty water tank are not the same size which is difficult if your water source is farther away. The dirty water tank holds about half of the water tank water. It’s a bit of a pain because the dirty water tank fills up fast. I would just suggest having a 5 gallon bucket of water and then another 5 gallon bucket to dump the dirty water with you.

OMG! I had pet stains on white carpet in my bedroom for years. I tried every pet stain remover I could find on the market and nothing worked. Before getting professional cleaners or ripping the carpet out altogether, I decided to try the Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet Pro Plus Carpet Cleaner, and I'm so glad I did! It only came with a small amount of cleaner, so I could only do a small area of the carpet, so I tackled the most stubborn stain and check out the before and after photos! My carpet looks like new again! I ordered more cleaning fluid and I actually can not wait to finish the room and then do my area rug in the living room. The machine was easy to put together (4 steps and 1 screw) and easy to clean. If you have pets and you have carpet, you need this. I usually don't write reviews but I felt the need to share this.

I was really impressed with this machine, at first. It did a great job of cleaning my carpets. Then it sat in the closet over the summer (after I had cleaned off all the parts I could) and now three months later it DOESN'T WORK ALL THE TIME. The water stops squirting, like somethings clogging up the hose, suction sometimes requires you to take it all apart and reseat every piece again because it didn't seal the first time.. AND one other annoyance, the main brush ALWAYS spins, if it's on, sitting upright, if your using the attachment handheld the brush just spins.. This is so STUPID, it should turn on when you tilt the handle back or have a shut off for when using the attachment. If I want to clean some furniture and I have a wood floor it's going to sit and spin. Not cool. :)
