Love how they’re good for you and taste great too!
I love how these only have three ingredients in them and they taste better than any other licorice bars I’ve ever tried!

Delicious
The licorice is the best ever! However, I was very disappointed in the way it was mailed. The first time I ordered it, it came in a very nice box with each piece of licorice individually wrapped. This time, it came individually wrapped but NOT in a box; just put in the mailer individually. As this was a gift for my Mother for St. Valentine’s Day, it was disappointing for her to receive it this way.

The licorice by which all others are measured in my opinion
I've loved Panda licorice a long time. Here's why I think you might at least like it a lot if you try it as well:Panda licorice is made from good, basic ingredients. Molasses, wheat, flavors, colors. The flavors and colors are even things you would recognize to some degree, like juices and natural dyes.Panda licorice has a great texture and flavor. It's firm enough to have some bite, but not so hard it will wear out your jaw to eat it, and not so soft you'll just mush it around with your tongue. It's at a pretty perfect softness when purchased from a fresh batch, and if you buy the pieces in boxes (not the single-serving bars) you can open the seal and let the candy stale if you like it a little tougher. I do that sometimes when I'm slow to finish a package. The flavor is clean and strong. This black licorice is a nice balance of molasses, wheat, and licorice flavors. The molasses and wheat are a much better flavor to deliver licorice with than the plasticy/waxy flavors of wheat and corn syrups or other stabilizers. There's a lovely, simple strength to this black licorice that I have yet to find a better version of anywhere else. You can buy in boxes which have small cut pieces, but the problem there for me, is that I have trouble stopping. I'll eat until it's gone. These bars are a perfect single serving. At about 100 calories, they're not going to break your diet, but they're also not so tiny you feel like having another (well, not always).I've eaten a lot of licorice, in lots of styles and flavors, and for me, Panda is the clear winner by a large margin. It's the right balance of softness, sweetness, and balance of flavors. All of this while still using simple ingredients and being inexpensive as well.If you're on the fence, check a local shop. Often health food or international boutiques (or sometimes just sections at larger stores) will carry Panda products. You can try one for yourself and see how you like it.

Very misleading
They were the honeycomb sticks not the solid ones. The picture advertised were the solid sticks not the honeycomb

Veritable Symphony of Goodness
You know what I like about shopping in a grocery store? They don't ask for product reviews. You know what I don't like about shopping in a grocery store? I can't find my favorite licorice in quantity without leaving the house to mingle with the hoy paloy. This licorice is great. It's natural. It's real and not over done like those twisty sugar whippy things that have begun to taste like plastic. And! AND! I am regular as clockwork. So if you want a great tasting treat with a mild laxative effect these are for you. I once ate a bag of a similar product (back in the days when licorice was real) the night before my English Literature class at college. Sure wish I had taken a seat closer to the door. In what has become know as the Great Methane Delivery System Debacle of 1967, our class ended early on a low note leading to a satisfying symphonic finale in the bowels of Main Hall.

Not what is pictured
I love Panda black licorice! So, so good, even with holes in it. Lol. I remember when the solid bar was sold. What ever happened to that one 🤔 When I saw this picture of the old solid bar I was super excited and purchased right away. Anxiously waited for my package to arrive but found more of a thick rope of licorice with holes in it. Now don't get me wrong, I shoved it in my mouth anyways and tasted the same wonderful Panda licorice taste as the actual bar. 😋 I just wanted that actual solid bar from some time ago. Maybe take that picture off and update it because some of us are super nostalgic. That would be my suggestionBut 5 stars for same great taste!

For licorice lovers: the holy grail
I have liked -- but not loved -- black licorice for years, but it wasn't until I visited Finland several years ago that I truly discovered the magical flavor of this soft licorice. This licorice is made in Finland, and it provides a totally different taste sensation from the licorice made in the US which you may have tried. If you like black licorice, you owe it to yourself to try this. And even if you don't like black licorice sold in the US, you may want to give this a try because the taste is so different. This product is a long, relatively soft cylinder of licorice, with a distinct molasses flavor and is somewhat sweet, but not salty. Since visiting Finland, I have discovered that other countries have their own approach to licorice, both soft and hard, and sweet and salty -- some of which I have tried when traveling -- but NOTHING beats the extraordinary flavor of this licorice. In short, I have found the holy grail of black licorice!
