Great tubeless tire repair kit
Great tubeless tire repair kit! I used it to fix a puncture on my motorcycle, and everything went smoothly. The mushroom plugs hold securely and provide a good seal. The tools are sturdy and easy to use, and the compact case makes it convenient to keep the kit on hand. The only minor issue is that you need to figure out the installation process at first, but after a couple of tries, it becomes clear. I recommend it for anyone who wants a quick and effective way to fix punctures!

The product really worked ... but the instructions are poor
I got this kit several months ago for my Indian Chieftain, and today was the first time I had to use the product. I've had motorcycles for almost 40 years and had a puncture only once in the all that time -- needing to use one of those old plug kits with glue and CO2 canisters. I bought this kit because it looked durable, the concept (mushroom plug) looked promising and of course... the positive reviews. So today... I was in this little town 70 miles from home for a rest stop and when I left, I was immediately notified by the bike computer that the pressure was less than 19 psi :( I rode back to the gas station, checked the rear tire and sure enough -- there was a small hole but no nail or screw.I got the kit out and the first thing I noticed is the instructions have these very small pictures that accompany the text, crammed into one page -- which are way too small to see what is being discussed. The text is fine but you need good pictures to properly understand the process of the repair. This was one big mistake I made -- I should have reviewed the instructions (and the video) to understand how to use the kit before I actually needed (instead of buying and tossing into the side bag). It's also a mistake the vendor needs to correct -- put larger pictures in the instructions and it will be a lot easier to implement the repair. After 10 mins of fiddling, I finally figured out what to do and the kit worked exactly as I hoped and expected. There were no issues using the silicone plugs and they worked like a champ! I pumped the tire up to 41 psi and watched to ensure it didn't slowly leak (it didn't), then rode home -- the 70+ miles and monitoring the tire pressure screen on the bike -- the tire pressure didn't drop below the 41 psi I put into the tire -- awesome!I think the kit is great, the tools are good quality and the process was easy (once you figure it out). They just need to correct the instructions. And if you do purchase it, make sure you know how to use it before you need it.

Easy to use, even for a novice
Easy to use, even for a novice. I have never plugged a tire in my life and was able to fix a flat in under 5 minutes with this. The instructions could have been better if they did more illustrations but they include a scan code that links to their website with a thorough video tutorial. The kit comes with lots of plugs that are pre-lubed (note, dont wipe it off...the lube makes it easy for the plug to slide in thru the tube) and a nice case for everything to be stored in. Keep one of these and a portable air compressor (hand held battery operated work great) in your cars emergency kit and you'll be good.

Better than the Tire Strip repair kits
I had a motorcycle tire leak from a screw. I tried the tire strip repair kits and still had a leak from the plug after the repair. I removed the plug and repeated the process several times with the same results. I decided to try the mushroom plugs. It worked the first time with no leak. I will see if the repair last but my initial results were much better than using the strip plugs. As for the Grand Pitstop kit. The tools seem well made and sturdy. I bought the complete kit. It came greased and with protectors for the sharp pointed tools. Kudo's for not cheaping out on the product. The repair itself was easy and took about 10-15 minutes. It comes complete with a carrying case. The only thing is, if you do an off emergency road repair, you may need air to reinflate your tire. Carry this kit with a portable inflator and you can get back on the road in most cases. The kit is more pricey than the strip plug kits but I basically wasted my time and money on those because its a crap shoot if it will work. This kit is great for cars with no spares (e.g. Prius).

Don’t buy!
Back in the mid 1960s I worked in service station for several years when attending college. The proprietor had a device that was similar to this one in that there was an inserting tool and the plugs had a serious circular arrow head on the end of the rubber shaft. He would clean the hole well, put the plug in the insertion device with some sort of liquid on it that acted as a lubricant and ultimately a sealant. The end of the insertion tool was positioned over the hole in the tire and with arm and hand muscle only was manually inserted in the tire by pressing on the handle of the insertion device which drove the plug into the tire. When he withdrew the insertion tool the rubber plug stayed in the tire. He then pulled on the plug to be sure the inside of the head of the plug was tight with the inside surface of the tire. He then cut off the stem of the rubber plug so it was perfectly flush with the outer surface of the tire. The tire was fixed. Didn’t have to remove the wheel from the car and IT DIDN’T LEAK. The whole process took less than five minutes. So, having seen the Gran Pitstop product I thought it would be similar. NOT SO. THe plugs are small and greasy. The insertion method doesn’t work. And in the video I watched, the person using the Gran Pitstop product was happy because the plug he installed only lost 1 pound of air per hour after he was done. Apparently this is not a final tire leak solution. When I tried it, I could not get the rubber plug to push through the insertion device and they usually ripped as well. This is a fairly complex system to accomplish nothing. It doesn’t work. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY AS I DID.

Great Tire Patch System
Easier to use than older plug system and higher rate of success. Great value for the cost.
