Such a handy addition to any socket set. Having to be able to use a breaker bar as a ratchet is such an advantage. Very happy with the quality, and certainly at the moment I have no fear of wrecking it.

It works as a ratchet adaptor for a breaker bar. But it has one major flaw. When using a breaker bar with a small extension on it, which this is, you have to hold the adapter to steady the socket/adapter to prevent it slipping off. Using extensions 101. Basics of using hand tools. Then when you use the ratchet function you inadvertently swop it from undo to do up, of the other way if doing up. The silver collar does not lock in place. It needs to be one of those that in order to change direction you have to pull it up, and then rotate it, and then it drops back into position, and is helt there with a spring. Or a button on it. Anything so it can’t just move unless you make a conscious effort to move it.

I purchased the 1/2 and 3/8 together after watching a Youtube video about a quick way to start a small engines ( mower weed eater blower ) that have pull starters. I used this in combination with my battery powered drill. This will work and save your clutch, but you will need to match your required speed for pull start. saves your hands and back, and helps troubleshoot small engine start issues. no regrets. 100% satisfied. I suggest purchasing the 1/2 and 3/8 for better options.

I got this with the Michael Pro extendable handle half inch Breaker Bar to leave in the back of my SUV incase of flat tires. This adapter is super high quality and turns any breaker bar into a ratchet. I actually have used it more just on a socket as sort of a finger ratchet very versatile tool for breaking off tires I would break all the lug nuts loose then install the adapter and speed the lung nuts off the rest of the way if you are in the market get it this is a great value tool I had a good price
