Do i add it to warm engine or cold?

Hot. Remove a main hose, drain some coolant, add it direct into the main hose and replace. Run engine.

is this additive ok for diesel engines? thanks.

For the oil seal that is in my diesel engine, a 1700 cc diesel engine a VW Transporter van circa 1989 I did have to buy & use 2 full containers of StopLeak to get desired effect.. On my engine 'tis the main crankshaft oil seal that plays & as this is situated between the back of the flywheel assembly & via the clutch the gearbox it's not an easy item to replace . If your customer's oil leak is not major or in a difficult to get at place, I'd say yes give it a try.yours sincerely/ Brian Cokayne/ Stockport
