Full disclosure, my cats are incredibly ok with anything my husband and I do to handle them. One of them has long hair and I have to shave him to stop his fur from climbing, especially around his butt.He let me shave him down without the guard and give him a lion cut. The sound and feeling of the shaver is so gentle that he wasn't bothered by it at all and kept licking me because he liked the feeling.This never pulled his hair, buzzed his hair so low that it almost got down to his skin and it never kicked him once no matter how I pressed it onto him. I wasn't afraid to shave very close to his "parts" and I did so since he needed that fur gone.It's battery lasted the whole cut which took an hour or so, allowing my cat to move and rest and stopping when he wanted. The quality of the razor and everything included is great and I really don't think you can beat the value for how much you pay.If you have cats like mine, shaving is a breeze. I feel like if you get a fussier cat relaxed/distracted enough with treats and what not, they won't mind you shaving them with this at all.Get this shaver. It's perfect.

Perfect. Works amaing. Was able to cut through my dwarf cats matting problem like butter. Best thing is it didn't get super hot and only s low humming sound so it didn't scare him at all!!! Holds charger longer than I actually needed. Lightweight. Quiet. Cordless and great value

This little thing works pretty well. It's small and isn't very loud. My cat, who is super floofy, gets trimmed (not shaved down to skin) every few months so her collar fits better, for her rump, and grinch feet. She tolerates it well and is used to this. If your critter is fluffy, there's a good chance it'll jam up a bit by the blades, rather often, so you need to manually remove the floof. It doesn't take long, but on higher-quality or larger trimmers, that's not an issue.The battery seems good, and it's easy to change the guards.I recommend it for folks who need a very occasional trim, but not for frequent ones.

This electric trimmer really saved my cat. She is 16 and has been having some recent health problems which caused her to not be able to bathe herself and her chest got matted from her wet food and water. I was able to easily and painlessly remove her matted fur and she didn’t even mind! I think she actually enjoyed the gentle buzzing and the relief of not having the mats pulling on her skin anymore. This saved me having to fork over even MORE money to have her groomed. This little electric trimmer is a lifesaver!

Very nice, quiet, charges quickly, multiple length guide combs and works well. Doesn’t bother the cats when trimming- good value too!

This worked PERFECTLY!!! My long haired Maine-coon cat his fur started to mat around his back legs so I bought this trimmer. The blade is plastic so it’s safe and harder to clip your cats skin! The hair comes off in one stroke! 100% recommend if your dealing with cat mating! It’s easy to use and is the same size as a human trimmer so it’s very durable. Comes with everything you need to charge it and clean it. 100% recommend!!!!

These are safe for use near cats sensitive skin. Our long haired cats needed matting removed and I'm grateful for the safety aspect. That said, the speed of these is slooooow. As in it is taking me hours to remove a patch of thick, long wavy matted fur from one of our girls. It's great that it is quiet too as she seems unbothered by the noise. The other cat has straight hair that is not quite so thick and it is faster in that type of hair. I'm charging the shears as I type. I hope to resume again to finish this chore.It would be preferred that these came with a regular charging cord rather than a USB type... This is slow going! Slow speed and slow charging.

I am so happy this worked right out of the box, it’s nice and quiet and my cat is usually so hard to groom, I was worried that she would run when I use this, but she laid down and let me, it was very gentle and I’m actually in shock because everything scares her. so happy I was able to get the mats out from underneath her arms so easily with this tool. Took only a few minutes.
