I purchased this for my ageing cat who had arthritis and after a few days of adjustment he really likes it. He's about 18 pounds and has plenty of room to sleep on it. The pad is thin and soft and when placed on the sofa or carpet he loves to sleep on it for hours. The cord is long enough that it reaches behind the sofa to the outlet without issue. I use the highest setting for him and it gets warm but not hot and certainly not as hot as a human heating pad so I don't have to worry about him sleeping on it too long.Overall, this is warm and comfortable and a decidedly cat approved and I recommend it too.

My female dog just had 11 puppies and its hard for her to get a chance to eat and go to the bathroom. The puppies don't just want to eat they want her warmth. This pad gives them that so she can get a break! Love it!

Very good product! It has been below feeezing & I use heating pad inside doghouse with cord plug protected from weather. My dog is shorthair & she loves it. When I put it in doghouse she went right in & stayed. I tried it out in house & it does not get too hot. It keeps her toasty on these below freezing nights. Would purchase again. Thank you

I have a 9 year old red nose pit bull, the 17x17 is not big enough. The low doesn't throw off enough heat but the high gives too much heat.

Put this in my cat house for my outdoor kitty. He loves it and it keep the space warm. Especially on cold wet days like today.
