Hi Deidre,Titebond II is water resistant, not water proof. If you're looking for a waterproof version, try Titebond III. Its waterproof design passes the ANSI/HPVA Type 1 water-resistance specification. Hope that helps!

I'm looking for translucent glue for wood is this one?

This is translucent in a sense. It produces a light brown glueline and is translucent in thin layers. If you are looking for a translucence like a finish would have, then this is not it. A good all purpose wood glue.
