The fan that comes with the Heat Sink is fairly loud when it starts to ramp up... however, DON'T LET THAT BE WHAT STOPS YOU FROM BUYING THIS! If you find that the included fan is too loud for your tastes, you can EASILy replace it: the heatsink fan is just a standard 120mm fan that's attached to two plastic adapter/clips that clip onto the sides of the heatsink. It also comes with a second set of these adapters so you can have a fan pushing air into the heatsink on the front and a second fan pulling the air out through the back.
