8.5 Plantar Fasciitis, Dress up or down, Perfect Fit, Comfortable
I wear an 8.5 and these fit perfectly!I have horrible plantar fasciitis and am on my feet all day for work. I also have to dress up for my job. I have found only 1 par of shoes, in the past two years, that are dressy and don’t make me leave work in excruciating pain. So, I wasn’t expecting much with these! But much to my surprise, I have very happy feet!!! The arch support is in the spot for my feet/foot size! The heal bed is firm enough but a perfect amount of give & squish. These are very comfortable! They are cute enough that they can be dressed up for my job or down for a hike! I absolutely love these! So far they are exceeding my expectations! The sandals & straps seem sturdy enough to last a while!!! 💕💕💕

A comparison of various styles of Teva sandals...
My favorite Columbia sandals are almost 10 years old, starting to wear out, and have sadly been discontinued. So I have been on a mission to find a pair of new sandals that I like just as well, and I finally discovered the Teva Tirra. I have high arches and an ongoing issue with plantar fascitis, so finding comfortable sandals with enough arch support is tough. I have a pair of very expensive Chacos that have an awesome arch, but the diamond cut pattern of the foot bed really irritates the sole of my foot and I can't wear them for an entire day.I ended up ordering several different styles of Tevas (as well as numerous other brands), and returned all but one pair. I ordered the Teva Tirra, Tirra Leather, Terra Fl, Verra, Hurricane, and Numa. The Tirra Leather has an awesome foot bed and great arch support, but runs a 1/2 size smaller than the rubber/nylon version, and the inside of the straps aren't cushioned nearly as well, which was the deal breaker for me. The Terra Fl has a slightly lower arch than the Tirra, and after 15-20 minutes of walking around inside my house, my foot with the plantar fascitis was bothering me. The strap cushion on those was equally good though. The Verra is super cute and the straps are nicely cushioned, but the arch is almost non-existent. The Hurricane has scratchy straps and a minimal arch. The Numa had a minimal arch as well. When I initially ordered the Tirra sandals, I ordered a size 8.5, which is my typical shoe size. They seemed like they fit well at first, but the front of the ankle strap hurt after wearing them for about 15 minutes inside my house. On a hunch, I decided to order another pair a half size smaller. They're an absolutely perfect fit, and the ankle strap doesn't come up as high and isn't irritating at all like it was on a pair a 1/2 size larger.I wore the sandals yesterday to our local amusement park and walked/stood for 11 hours straight. They definitely passed my test for comfort and support. They're not super fashionable, but definitely prettier than some other types of sport sandals. I bought the Simply Taupe color, which is neutral and goes with most of my summer clothes. I'll probably eventually buy a black pair as well, but I'm waiting for them to go on sale. We're taking a 10 day trip to Disney World later this year, and these will definitely be my main shoe for wearing while we're there.

Great Go To Vacation Shoes too!
I love these sandals! The sizing is consistent from year to year when you purchase the same style again, which I did. My last pair travelled through all the Disney Theme parks with no blisters, no worry in the rain, and no sore feet. Easy to dry off due to the material. The footbed is comfortable and doesn't restrict the toes while they grip well when walking and bonus the straps are adjustable which helps when your feet need a little relief in the heat. Looks nice with active wear on a dress and the heel just enough! Highly recommend for fit, comfort and no worry about rain.

I picked these Terra over the strappier Teva Virra sandals
I tried these on in the store and loved them, but wasn't sure if I was ready to go this rugged [read: unattractive] for a sandal. I decided to browse online for more Teva styles, and after MUCH research, I decided to try the Terra and the Zirra, a strappier [read: hopefully attractive?] version that still has a sturdy, molded sole. Ultimately, I chose to keep the Terra and return the Zirra, and I may get an Original Sandal as an about-town shoe. Here's my breakdown:Sole:I was expecting the Zirra's base to be significantly flimsier than the Terra, but they were surprisingly close. I think the Terra is still a bit heavier-duty, though. Both felt comparable to an athletic shoe sole, to me. I have very wide feet, and both shoes fit fine, but they are a little long (not uncomfortable, though). I usually wear a 10 or 10W, and ordered a 10 in both shoes.Strap size:The Zirra has much thinner straps compared to the Terra. It felt secure, but the straps did feel like they might dig after a while, especially if my feet swell while walking on a hot summer day. The Terra's straps are much wider and are padded, and are able to be adjusted easily if they start to rub. On a hot summer day, the Zirra's thinner straps might feel more "breathable" than the Terra, but the Terra will still be a vast improvement over regular sneakers. (Note: After drafting this review, I went for a long walk on a 72* sunny day, and it's exactly that -- the strapped part of my feet felt a little stuffy, but not nearly as much as they would in sneakers.)Strap adjustability:The Zirra has only one point of adjustment -- the ankle strap. It is difficult to adjust quickly, as it is one of those safety lever things that doubles back on itself. If you want to ease up the strap on a specific part of your foot, I don't know that you can do it. I was able to slip them off without undoing the strap, but it took a little wiggling. In comparison, the Terra has two different Velcro straps across your toes, plus a Velcro strap around the ankle. Each is quick to adjust and independent of the others. It would be easy to adjust as your feet swell, etc. (Note: At the end of my walk today, my feet were a little swollen; I didn't need to adjust, but I was glad to have the option for longer or hotter walks.)Look factor:I'm a late-twenties woman who tries to be low-maintenance and puts comfort high, but also is not quite ready to give up completely on "look." I tried out the Zirra sandals mostly in hopes that it would be more of a compromise between looks and comfort than the Terra is. However, both me and my husband actually preferred the look of the Terra, which I ultimately decided to go with. I just couldn't see myself pulling off a skirt in the Zirras (I mean, I totally would wear it, but I'd never pull it off). They almost felt unbalanced -- rugged sole, lightweight straps.I am thinking of the Terra as summertime sneakers, so I'm going to wear them with whatever I would feel comfortable wearing sneakers with (jeans, capris, shorts). I wear a lot of skirts and dresses, so I'm still SOL there. I may drag myself through the personal hell that is shopping for shorts for an apple-shaped body just to wear these more on casual errands!I'm also thinking of trying Teva's Original Sandal to get a comfy-but-not-sneakery sandal for casual summertime outfits. The soles don't look as supportive, but they might be a good in-between for my comfy-but-ugly Teva Terra and my under-a-mile-walk Cole Haan sandals (my favorite brand for comfy-cute).

Best hiking sandal!
I bought these sandals on the advice of a friend, took them with me to NewZealand, and started wearing them there for the first time. I am so utterly impressed with this sandal, that I will buy another pair as soon as I get back, and store them away, just in case the model disappears. They are rugged, durable, have a great gripping tread, have a good arch support, good ankle support, and the foot bed never gets greasy making your feet slide around. This being said, I have not worn them in water, so I can’t say how they perform when wet. The adjusting straps are great, and allow for a comfortable fit for every foot. I have done countless hours of hiking in them (from brand new out of the box) and have not had any discomfort, no rubbing, and no blisters! I have hiked over rocks, gravel, earth, grass, and even wear them for hours walking around the city. After all of those hours of walking, the foot beds do not have any odor at all! I met someone with pronounced bunions who asked to try them on, and was amazed at how well they fit! They ordered a pair that day! Do yourself a favour, and treat yourself to a pair of these! In fact, buy two, and store one away ;)

Best athletic sandal EVER
These sandals are pretty with the mixed pastel colours. They have a nice thick, soft and flexible sole, with a subtle arch support. The uppers are very comfortable, easily adjustable, and are great for my narrow feet. That being said, because of the triple velcro, I feel like they would be great for a wider foot too. They have great tread as well! These sandals, from out of the box and onto my feet, are a dream to wear! I will buy these for the rest of my life! You could hike all day in them comfortably!
