Well made, works well on Lodge and my other Dutch Oven, but to be expected from this quality manufacturer, for products made in America.

This is made in China. It only has of Lodge the name. Any other lid lifter will be cheaper and of similar quality. I only buy Lodge (made in USA) or Skepshult (made in Sweden) cast iron, never Chinese. With that prixe, I was expecting that it was Lodge from the USA, but it is not. Otherwise it is smaller than expected, but it is just OK.

Although this is quite useful, it's coated in a horrible plastic and weirdly made in China. Although it bears the Lodge tag, its Not really the lodge quality product I've come to expect.

Description of the item is very misleading. Item is NOT made in the USA. Clearly states on the packaging that it is made in China. last time i checked C-H-I-N-A does not spell USA!! Item does what it's supposed to do but would have preferred to be a bit longer.

I bought this to lift the lids and cast iron pots out of a campfire or coals. Worked well. I like the end of it because the two short legs steady the lid when you open a pot lid. It is sturdy being made from wrought iron. It is painted black and I expect that paint to eventually fall off, but it appears to be suitable for hot conditions. I have used it twice with no chipping or paint smell. It is long enough to reach into an average sized campfire without risking burning one's hands. The ring on the end allows it to be hung up. I wouldn't take it backpacking due to the weight, but the length will fit easily into the cubby hole of an RV storage area. I am happy with my purchase.
