Bishops Beds Replacement Flat Pine Bed Slats for a Double Bed

Good and sturdy product so far. Only reason not giving 5star is I'd want to make sure they remain strong for a long time first.

The slats are good value for money tbey are on a strip and roll out one the base. but I would have liked them to be a few millimetres longer if they had been a bit longer it would have meant not having to screw the slats to the base of the bed so would have been more efficient

We have an old Victorian bedframe and had been using it with a divan base and a mattress on top. As a result it looked a bit like something from The Princess and the Pea and both my mother and my sister-in-law needed a step to get into it (both are around the 5 foot mark). With threats that they wouldn't visit unless we made bed time less like climbing the Matterhorn, we were looking for a not to expensive solution to the problem and found these pine bed slats.They took a bit of 'customising' to get them to work fully, but we're very happy with the results and so far nobody has complained.

Replacement slats for bed

Ordered these replacement bed slats after the original slades caved in and while I was impressed at first, the replacements are MUCH thinner the originals & I'm not sure they will last the test of time!At the price, I cannot argue however.

Had to add pieces of wood on both sides because they came 2 cm too short so they would be fallimg down on one side all the time.

These are strong, durable bed slats that will last a very long time. Fitted my double bed exactly i.e. 1,350mm or 4ft 6" in width.The top, middle and end slats all come with pre-drilled holes for screws. The holes are tiny though but I have not had to use them. It is easy to get smaller screws anyway or to make the holes bigger. There are 11 slats in total all joined up with the strong band. Very easy to fit and now our bed is functioning exactly as it was meant to be. Thank you!

A bit sparse when laid out. I also found the lengths to be slightly too short and had to attach a further length of battening to the bed frame to stop them falling through - however, my bed frame may have stretched out over the years. Still, I got it to work eventually and have ended up with a good result. Have a drill and screws handy before you start!
